G5's are awsome, I just don't know why he would want to buy 2 year old technology. I sent him a PM back calling him a douche and told him that if he acted like a douche again that we were really going to have some issues. So I am expecting to get banned from TB soon. But he deleted the post so he has nothing to back up his side of the story.
lowsound
I like them, I still don't get why he would be insulted by that. I don't think I could be a mod, I'd start deleting people's posts at random....Me and a positions of power have never worked out so hot. |

If he tries to ban me I am going to talk to another mod about it. He is a douchelicker. lowsound |
We'll guys i'm off to watch a movie then crash.
I'm totally spent from my 2 midterms... Night  |

I have a brand new macbook (well I got it in august). I haven't found anything that I can't run on it. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of looking. For recording and movie editing macs can not be beat. lowsound |
I assume you're using OS X? About the looking....I haven't bought software in my life. I steal from the internet, or use the Windows stuff my parents have for theirs.

OS X 10.4.6. I am getting the new one as soon as it comes out, it is said the be the windows killer. The only software that I bought for mine was microsoft office (I know, microsoft, but I had to have office for school) and my parents bought that. Everything else that I have needed I have gotten off of the internet. Not that I have needed much, they come with so much stuff on them. lowsound |
Consumer Re[orts Just did a review of computer and the Mac desktops didn't do too great although the labtops sweeped.

Anyway, I'm heading to bed.
Later people. |

It all depends on what you want to use them for, if you want to use it for multimedia, mac desktops rule. If you just want it for day to day checking email/myspace/writing essays a PC is fine and does just as good of a job as a mac, a PC is also better for gaming (most games don't run on macs, but the ones that do run faster and better, the only reason that a PC is better for gaming is due to the fact that most games aren't compatible with macs). I bought a mac mainly because I want to do some audio and video editing and the battery life is way longer than any other laptop that I have found. If I really need to I can have my laptop last 8 hours on one charge, something that is nice for when I have it at school. Now that I have a mac I don't think that I would switch, that and I have had way to many problems with PCs in the past. lowsound |
See ya spiff.

If anyone can figure out what that says I will give you a cookie, and yes it actually does say something. lowsound |
I prefer Windows layout anyway, but I would definitely buy a MacBook, because of it's ability to run Windows OS.
I too am leaving. Goodnight. |
i use the mac skin on mozilla firefox.

I think everyone does, I have never seen anyone use firefox and not have it on. The real one for mac looks way cooler IMO. Time for me to hit up the bed  lowsound |

This doesn't deserve its own thread, so I'll ask here.
The tone I want would be best described as Myung's tone In the song Vacant, after LaBrie starts singing. Trial of Tears and Beyond this life also have a good example of this tone. My bass won't do it for me (completely passive) but that'll be fixed. What I want to know is- which preamp should I be looking at for this tone? Demeter HBP-1 or Ashdown ABM RPM-1 EVO II Or something compeletly different? |

I would check the reviews on harmoney central just so confirm. What power amp are you useing? |
Not sure yet, just doing some research to see how much I need to save, how to budget etc.
Something with 6L6 tubes more than likely. |
Morning all.
Well I have decided to try and get myself into drumming, more the snare based pipe band sort. |

Heya Ryan |
howdy hobbes, pretty sure im almost definately getting a B4fl for around christmas... im a little worried about going to unlined though..
it will be good for my ear, accuracy and intonation though in the long run and will probably make me a better player |

The dot markers are more than enough. They are great little basses. Just be sure to get one with a 2 piece body and not 3, the natural ash looks pretty crap when you have it in three pieces without a finish to semi disguise it. |

I would however pick one of them up again, but in a 6 string version and switch out the pups and change the pre-amp Rather upgrade the amp setup before the A4, from the sounds of it you have a great selection of basses that you are building up but neglecting the means to truely allow them to shine. |
person :upset:
whats shakin' bacon? edit: /pwned yeah hobbes i agree, im going for a 15" cab as soon as i have the room (after the b4fl) hopefully my brother will be leaving the house soon. and that should handle any gigging requirments.. dunno if it would fit in my car though haha. and maybe in the future ill upgrade the head, if i need it. after thats great, im saving for a killer 4 string. aka, A4 |
