Yeah we reached page #1002. I think things'll pick up soon. I just hate having to use the search feature to find this thread.
Yeah, atleast I'm 100% sure this thread will have a burst of activity for a few days once Slayer releases their new album.

lightningmetal666 09-28-2005 04:27 PM

I have no idea. I hope that maybe Kerry trys to use more theory than usual in his solos, didn't he take guitar classes during the writing and recording of Divine Intervention?

Apocalyptic Raids 09-28-2005 08:01 PM

I would think the first half of next year.

Sethrion 09-28-2005 11:12 PM

Divine intervention - is at this CD a Song called -SEX-MURDER-ART ? I Think i have this CD but I donīt like it so much. - I Think the best Slayer CD ever is the South of heaven :-)

This year i have see Slayer live in Slowenia at the metalcamp! -It was very "nice" *gggg* here the Site of the Festival for those how donīt now it. www.metalcamp.com
yeah south of heaven is one of the best slayer albums...slayer has such awesome guitar riffs. and dave totally kicks a ss on the drums.

The Treason Wall 09-28-2005 11:38 PM
Hmmm, I was thinking maybe to spice things up for a while in this thread is maybe, we could each record ourselves playing Slayer songs or something? Or if you don't know a full song just play some fav. riffs.. or something I don't know.
i would post something if i could record, i have Metal Storm/Face the Slayer down pretty well, its nothing hard, but for some reason, people seem to think i'm a virtuoso for playing it.

Probably because they don't realize how easy it is...

Sethrion 09-29-2005 12:51 AM

Your statement about South of Heaven is definetly true. I can't decide whether it's better than Reign in Blood though. They both have their moments.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-29-2005 05:49 AM

Hell Awaits is my favoutie Slayer album.

Thor 09-29-2005 05:51 AM
Hell Awaits is my favoutie Slayer album.
I'm about to do a review for that album actually. Expect to see it in 1-2 days.

ThrashMaster27 09-29-2005 05:52 AM

Show No Mercy canes 'em all I say. South of Heaven is a close second, followed by Hell Awaits and Reign In Blood.

national_chaos_jolliffe 09-29-2005 05:56 AM

i love slayer...
mu band plays an instrumedly which features raining blood!!!

x00046455 09-29-2005 06:47 AM

man, slayer kinda suck.

Bazarov 09-29-2005 02:19 PM
man, slayer kinda suck.
Man, you're kind of a faggot. Seriously, why don't you quit being a troll and state why you think they suck. Which they obviously do not because they're most definately the most well known Thrash Metal act on the planet. And have lasted for over 20 years, and are still going.

metalmilitia101 09-29-2005 03:52 PM
Your statement about South of Heaven is definetly true. I can't decide whether it's better than Reign in Blood though. They both have their moments.
i agree...def my top two favs by them.
man, slayer kinda suck
hah...what nonsense.

Existence Is Lost 09-29-2005 03:58 PM
It's more melodic than their other stuff (IE from track 5 on), but they certainly do have some great thrash songs in that album. It was the first slayer CD that I got it I really dug it. I'd tell you to buy it and check out the first 5 tracks (Killing Fields, Sex.Murder.Art., Fictional Reality, Dittohead, Divine Intervention)

My faves were Killing Fields (Love to play it on guitar while screaming the lyrics), Sex.Murder.Art (the intro is kinda hard to play on guitar), and Dittohead. (I've never heard anyone sing as fast as tom in that song.)
Yeah Dittohead is a great song. I heard it on the War at the Warfield DVD.

Well not only that but like I said before Dave Mustaine said that he taught kerry a lot of stuff on the guitar.

If this is possible, could you send me Show No Mercy? I still haven't got around to listening to it, but I've heard it's great.

Nostalgia 10-02-2005 08:53 PM

Yea same here.

reighn in blood is awsome, do you think a library would have it
or should I just buy it?

Nostalgia 10-02-2005 09:33 PM

^buy it. Oh and you can check out CD'S at a library?

Kaiwaz 10-02-2005 10:00 PM

I can play War Ensemble fully now. It's our ''warm up song'' After we play it, anything is possible.

Nostalgia 10-02-2005 10:02 PM

^ The intro to that always makes me think its angel of death. Good song, any one know the meaning of it?

Kaiwaz 10-02-2005 10:05 PM
^ The intro to that always makes me think its angel of death. Good song, any one know the meaning of it?
Angel Of Death? ''Monarch to the kingdom of the dead.'' It means ANGEL OF DEATH!

metalmilitia101 10-02-2005 10:07 PM
^buy it. Oh and you can check out CD'S at a library?
yeah you can check out CDs at a library, but depending on the library the collections vary...and usually are small and don't have some of the good stuff - mainly that country and pop stuff that old people listen to - thats why its all at the library, bc the person who had it is sick of it so donated it.
