LR, I'm new (DUH!) and don't know you, nor you I, but it's always nice to have see another female, especially one who knows what she wants and is ambitious enough to acheive it. Your thoughts about working with autistic kids are very moving; I have two boys (7 and 9) and both are diagnosed Autism-spectrum. I wish you all the best in your troubles with school.

Myself, I went to college for 2 yrs and quit 8 credits short of my AA. Why? I couldn't be bothered. The only major I was interested in was Music, and I never in a million years wanted to be a teacher, which left Performance. Which made me go "????" because a sheet of paper saying you can play up to the standards of other people never made sense to me. Especially a sheet of paper from Bmidji State University! LOL!

I too fell into the "find something to fall back on" trap, and it took me until three years ago to wriggle myself out of it. Last year, for Christmas, my hubby bought me my first bass. I'm practicing when I like, what I like, and while I am not nearly as accomplished as many folks on the board, I enjoy it and intend to continue learning.

Long story short- I'm 32 yrs old, married, with two kids, and am just now discovering what really makes me tick. And playing bass is part of that.

Anyway, this is a cool thread, and I enjoy this forum, although I don't post much (major-grade lurker here).

I join and without question follow Mr._coffeekiller's revolt but I really do like the pineapple thing we just have to stop talking about it and do what it was made for.

I got a Behringer amp, I got up not long ago, so I don't remember what exact model or feel like going to my room to look it up at the moment.
