I'm pretty much Agnostic but I don't think my parents would understand if I told them I don't follow Catholicism. They're very closed-minded.

And you can believe in a God without believing in creationism. Most of the founding fathers believed in a God who put the spark of life that caused evolution rather than creating man from dust or whatever.
Yes! Great point. A lot were deists. |
Both of those are logical explainations.
You can believe in anarchy but feel the world isn't ready for change. Jello Biafra has believed that for years. And you can believe in a God without believing in creationism. Most of the founding fathers believed in a God who put the spark of life that caused evolution rather than creating man from dust or whatever.
All I know is that when I read the book of genesis, I read it more as poetry than clear fact. Like much of the bible, it's in metaphors and is incredibly unclear. But Genesis more than any of the other books (well, psalms) is poetry. It's a beautiful, but not scientific way of the earths creation. It should be taken as that, not as fact. But, some people do believe God made the earth in exactly how it says. Odd. |
Yes! Great point. A lot were deists.
Once I explained Deism to some soulseek punks from here, they really liked it. Once I learned about it after hearing the founding fathers believed in it, I incorporated it in within my own religious beliefs, which is basically a mix bag of stuff I like that I take from various religions. Though, officially I tell people I'm a Pastafarian (though I've said Discordian on some occasions, agnostic on a few others), I need to come up with a name for my mixed religion. |
Yeah, well since the concept of anarchy naturally resists definition it is not surprising that so many people misunderstand it completely. You can't call yourself an anarchist and still not try to live accordingly or strive to promote it. It is another thing to simply think that it is a nice but unrealistic idea.
I thought you would be in England by now. What happened there, Patrick? |

Not at all. |
I have in my history class when we were talking about religon. I was making my case that God or a higher being doesn't excist and all this stuff. I was playing devil's advocate (sort of), but by the end of it, not one person including my teacher had a response for me. Made a few people question their faith...
I did that to my ex-girlfriend. Existential doubt blowjobs are the best! :p |

Bible is okay. As far as religion and how interesting it is. Buddhism by far. Some Buddhists believe in thousands of Hindu gods and some believe in no God, or just one. |

Effan! My little ruggedy skinhead! How goes the work boots? |
Yeah.
You're all about Anarchy. Let me show you how Anarchy told me my old bestfriend is an idiot. I'm an Anarchist. I don't think Anarchy would work in todays society. There would be too much chaos. I don't want chaos. I want peace. Some people probably think that doesn't make me a true Anarchist, but I think it shouldn't be about what can happen, but what you believe in. Am I the only person that thinks that makes him look like a true idiot?
That is the line that makes him look like an idiot. |
Eh, I just know for a fact he's never read about it, I highly HIGHLY doubt he knows who Emma Goldman is.
Edit: SantaDuJuan: You ever read some of Emma Goldman's stuff/ SantaDuJuan: ? sink Colin sink: No.... |

Noooo! I was about to say that! But it's way better than the Oddysey. The lot of it. The Bible is practically a life guide. It doesn't tell you what to do, but it lets you interpret its words and find make your own decision. Sometimes when I have a very hard time making a big decision, I flip through the Bible/Torah/Koran/Anarchy For Dummies and it really helps me make a decision. I love the way you guys discuss things here, it's so peaceful and tranquil. If this was the PWNI forum, somebody would have received a mail bomb by now, and half the people participating would be calling each other "dirty hypocrite commies/whiteys". Punks are such hippies:). |
All of you are wrong.

No. He's like my Marching band/Band friend. I really regret introducing him to anything political/punk. |
I saw Raised Fist last night, it was awesome

I went to a queer/trans night at some club in King's Cross last night, it was shite. I hate the whole butch/femme crap that every lez and fag think they need to adhere to. And all the magazines' models looked exactly the same as (I just farted and it smells like sulfur!) they do in straight teeny-bop magazines.

why would you go to that?

why would you go to that?
Because Starbucks doesn't do it for me. And it's just about the only queer place that doesn't ID people. |
