Tr00f. No word of a lie

Brain Toad 05-13-2006 05:48 PM

I just broke out my n64 and played a little. Smahs Bros and Resident Evil 2, I suck at both.

Glitterati 05-13-2006 06:03 PM

I never played Conkur's Bad Fur Day :( But Goldeneye was the shiznit.

I would like to be playing my atari right now, but it's at a friend's house.

My usual group of people to hang out with decided to not go with me to a show, so I had no way of getting there, and no one to be with. I took a walk and ran into some people I haven't seen in awhile, and some people I never formally met. It was nice, but now I reak of smoke.

Liebensaft 05-13-2006 08:39 PM

My dad has a whole bunch of Ataris (2600 variety) and a ton of games. The games are on shelves all around the computer room. It's pretty dorky, but he's into it. He bought and sold them like crazy on ebay for awhile, but he slowed down.

SantaDuJuan 05-13-2006 08:43 PM

Except for the 8 other ones?

I should buy a real atari and games. What I have is one of those re-release machines that just comes with 40 games on it. I enjoy it, but it would be nice to own an oldschool one.

Brain Toad 05-13-2006 08:48 PM

My dad used to have a Sega Master system, but we sold it.

Aw, bummer. It is, however, probably much more reliable, and easier to use than the real thing.

Yeah. It's got the classics too. Asteroids, Pong, Missle Comand. It definitely keeps me entertained.

If I had a lot more disposable money though, I'd have the real thing and many games.

SantaDuJuan 05-13-2006 09:05 PM

They can become pricey on eBay asdf.
I was selling the consol I played before I could walk, no joke.
And some of the games went for 500 dollers.

Liebensaft 05-13-2006 09:06 PM

Yeah, rare games go for crazy prices sometimes.

asdf 05-13-2006 09:07 PM

Yeah, I know. That's why I have this re-release atari thing. 25 dollars, with 40 games on it. Pretty sweet.

A guy I used to be friends with had an atari. He's a real dick though, and he'd never let me use it.

Another one of my friends has one, but it really sucks and rarely works.

They system was 50 dollers.
That was more than crazy.

Sebek 05-13-2006 10:02 PM

Super Nintendo and NES still rule more than most everything.

SantaDuJuan 05-13-2006 10:03 PM

I didn't think they RULED at the time.
My Sega and I conquered the gaming world.

Sebek 05-13-2006 10:09 PM

Sega wins as well.

Rise Me Up 05-13-2006 10:11 PM

Yeah dude. I wish I wouldn't have put my Sega in the yardsale. I had Sonic 2, Mortal Kombat 1, the Sonic Vs. Knuckles game, NBA Jam...all that s'hit.

SantaDuJuan 05-13-2006 10:13 PM

I still have mine, I was like 6 so I had mostly kid friendly games.
Except for one, the grandmaster of all retro games.

Anybody play Contra III?

Brain Toad 05-13-2006 10:21 PM

Return of a classic avatar because I'm watching the movie.

Liebensaft 05-13-2006 10:38 PM

Happy Sunday morning.

Liebensaft 05-13-2006 10:54 PM

'ello Pumba.

It's our problem-free philosophy.

Brain Toad 05-13-2006 11:06 PM

We once had a mod chat breakout into the singing of that song, led by Gav and Spencer.

SantaDuJuan 05-13-2006 11:12 PM

Wow, I'm like a mod prodigy then.

The Princess Bride rules.
The Princess Bride rules.
This is a smart man right here.

In other news, I finally figured out a uniform way to tag my classical music. Composer in the artist and conductor or symphony as the album with the movements or movement names as the title.

Though this only matters to me because I'm obsessed with having my files correctly tagged. Even when I only have a little classic. All 9 Beethoven symphonies and 5 pieces by Stravinsky.
