Welcome to the forums. I'm very pleased you are not one of these kids that makes a thread about how much he hates pop-punk the second the twenty-four-hour no-thread span is up. Good to see a new face. :thumb:

i am the robots 06-01-2005 06:36 PM

I wish I was still tr00, but I already explained, I was off being tr00 in real life, playing Black Metal kickball, and partying in forests during the night.

Thor 06-01-2005 06:37 PM

Wow, I just saw my first post of all time in that Lamb of God thread that was just closed. I was the biggest n00b ever.

Silent Death 06-01-2005 06:38 PM

Yeah I will

i am the robots 06-01-2005 06:38 PM

Haha, it's all good babay.

You guys must see this though:
most do... I got referred though-shadow_stalker told me about it
I don't know if you know him but Powerchord Rock told me about mxtabs.net then I asked him about the forums and he said they were cool. So technically he refered me. But just to mxtabs.net I found the forums from there.

Lord Abortion 06-01-2005 07:02 PM

yeah I know him

bloody cannibal corpse-hater

your musical taste will expand beyond belief here...

most of the bands I hear are reccomended through these forums- all extreme metal I listen to came from here and power metal too

Lots of people seem to have, yeah. I personally didn't, though.

And if your music tastes aren't already diverse, they probably will be if you end up staying here longer than a few months (and don't just post in the Pit).

Apologies for your having to join in such a crap time, by the way.

Thor 06-01-2005 07:09 PM

All of those bands are cool except for CC, they just freak me out. After hearing "I Cum Blood" I decided that I wouldn't listen to them anymore.

Iced Earth ****ing rocks dude.

indeed -Iced earth 'kin rock

I actually had someone shout that at me the other week in the street

I was wearing my reckoning t-shirt at the time- not just randomly

No problem I don't mind. Im sure that my music taste will grow here. btw, are you a moderator?

Bartender 06-01-2005 09:58 PM

Yeah, I am one of the moderators here. We just recently (finally) had the forum leaders page fixed, actually, so you can have a look there at the various mods and such.

3074326 06-01-2005 10:00 PM

Haha, taking advantage of the Forum Leaders link. Haven't been able to do that for about a year (no exaggeration).

Hmm, not too much traffic in here! ;)

Bartender 06-01-2005 10:38 PM

Yeah, it's nice to have the place to ourselves, isn't it.

I wish the current Forced Listening had a link in it, I really want to take dibs in an empty forum.

3074326 06-01-2005 10:40 PM

Haha, yeah, it always works out that there's nothing to do when nothing is happening.

I hope that made sense.

I like how we're both still browsing the forums and posting normally.

Bartender 06-01-2005 10:47 PM

Yeah. Then again, having spent a fair few hours today deleting threads, locking forums and generally dealing with this thing, I feel like I rather deserve to be allowed to catch up on the forums in peace.

SonorKen 06-01-2005 10:51 PM

Sup R&Mers.

Agreed.

Ken, it's been a while. How's it going?

superpeer 06-02-2005 01:44 AM

Ah jeez, seems like I missed all the action.

Bartender 06-02-2005 09:29 AM

Yeah. We can still talk, though. If you were here we could, anyway.

Bartender 06-02-2005 04:17 PM

Did anyone even notice I was gone?
Everyone started wondering if you'd gone to Italy yet a few days ago. So, yeah :)

Where in Italy did you go?

superpeer 06-02-2005 04:31 PM

/Joins in.

Italy could be nice, yeah. Perhaps a bit too warm.

3074326 06-02-2005 04:44 PM

/just got back from work

I was hoping to see everything open. :(

Bartender 06-02-2005 04:47 PM
/Joins in.

I would want to be able to speak Italian before going, but yeah.
I was hoping to see everything open. :(
Yeah :-/ Since it isn't though, I've been wondering whether doing this when there isn't spam going on would be considered an abuse of power.

3074326 06-02-2005 04:49 PM

I don't think so. We're not really hurting anything by chatting.

If we didn't have a reason for them to be closed.. then yes.

superpeer 06-02-2005 05:03 PM

Well, I don't think I would want to learn Italian. I've studied enough languages in my life and Italian can sound ghey sometimes.

Aes820 06-02-2005 05:56 PM

It really seems like a bit of ghost town around here, doesn't it?
Especially over in the guitar forum. Where the only activity at the moment is a few tubleweeds rolling around.

3074326 06-02-2005 05:58 PM

Yeah, the Guitar forum is completely dead. Kind of odd. Now only if the Stronghold would stay dead when the forum re-opens...

Aes820 06-02-2005 06:02 PM

Maybe as a result of these forum attacks, the stronghold was deleted, never to be seen again. *wink wink*

3074326 06-02-2005 06:04 PM

I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Bartender 06-02-2005 06:08 PM
The thread in other music at the moment is almost as bad as the original stronghold got. :p
Except they know that it's going to be deleted afterwards.
Any word from on high on when things might get fixed up?
Hopefully when DBJ gets back, unless his permissions are insufficient to do anything to sort it permanently, in which case we'd have to wait for mx, I think. I've been avoiding telling any of the regular users that so far, though :-/

Aes820 06-02-2005 06:15 PM
I wouldn't be opposed to that.
:) But Dave would be ropeable.

I guess we all will have to just play the waiting game then. It's unfortunate. Downtime is never a good thing.

Bartender 06-02-2005 06:24 PM

No. It looks like DBJ is wanting to re-open the forums anyway though, and just close them and clean up again if they're spammed again.

superpeer 06-02-2005 06:41 PM

Well, we can't keep them closed forever.

Bartender 06-02-2005 06:52 PM

Yeah, but, no offence to DBJ, he hasn't had to spend hours cleaning it up.

superpeer 06-02-2005 06:53 PM

True, he's right though, if we have to wait for mx. It might be tomorrow, but it might as well be next week or longer.
