Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - The Tyranny of Distance

These guys are great.

BillCosby 11-26-2005 10:52 PM

Duh.

asdf 11-26-2005 10:57 PM

Over my break, in the very long car ride to and from minnesota, we listened to:

Ween - white pepper
Mr. Bungle - California
Black Crowes
The unicorns - Who will cut our hair when we're gone?
California Guitar Trio
Frank Zappa - freak out
And other things that I cannot remember

What I personally listened to:
cLOUDDEAD -ten
World/Inferno Friendship society
Against me!
Defiance, ohio
Pinback
Thingy
The Mars Volta

Daniel! 11-26-2005 11:48 PM

LCD Soundsystem - LCD Soundsystem

The first track is pretty good. The rest is okay.

Zappa 11-26-2005 11:57 PM

I didn't realize that "pretty good" and "okay" had different levels of quality equated with them.

Aeaon 11-26-2005 11:58 PM

I've been listening to the Killer - Hot Fuss. Good shit.

Daniel! 11-27-2005 12:07 AM
I didn't realize that "pretty good" and "okay" had different levels of quality equated with them.
Pretty good is better than okay.

Aeaon 11-27-2005 12:13 AM

I should check out Jesus and Mary Chain.

Scott Herren 11-27-2005 12:21 AM

Herbie Hancock featuring Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan - "Don't Explain"

Robert Crumb 11-27-2005 12:23 AM

The Drifters and Dangerdoom. And Binary Star. The Binary Star album does not disappoint.

Which one? I have Masters Of The Universe. Solid.

Right now Sleater-Kinney's The Woods.
Which one? I have Masters Of The Universe. Solid.
That's the one. Very much solid.
Aerosmith - Toys In the Attic

Dude Aerosmith rules. This album is even better than Rocks, I think. But the production sucks.
Any Aerosmith album from before they were clean is pretty good, I would guess. I don't know about Draw the Line though, as it was pretty much the depths of their depravity if "Behind the Music" serves me correctly.

JonM 11-27-2005 12:47 AM
I didn't realize that "pretty good" and "okay" had different levels of quality equated with them.
Have you read Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance? Every time someone talks about quality, it makes me think of that book.
Pretty good is better than okay.
That's what I was gonna say. I'd say "okay" is one step above completely neutral, and "pretty good" is about three.

Bartender 11-27-2005 05:37 AM

The Beta Band - The Three EPs

I'd forgotten how much I like this. Think I might like it even more than I used to, actually.
