Anything from Norway seems to rock my world these days. Kaizers Orchestra, Jaga Jazzist, Thomas Dybdahl...

I might end up livin' there...

ATM 09-05-2005 07:51 PM

Norway is an amazing place, but Oslo is really really expensive.

I need to get some more music on this bad boy.

The Appleseed Cast are ace.

I gave Yank Crime a listen from the YSI thread. Pretty good, but those 7+ minute songs are kinda pointless. Maybe next time I'll give it a try through headphones, see if that doesn't make a difference.

Tangy zizzle 09-05-2005 11:20 PM

That's why I don't like DLJ as much as Hot Snakes. There's way too much foreplay in their music.

I've been giving the new Coheed and Cambria a few listens... I like it better than their previous albums but I don't like it like it.

It's just okay.

Indeed, it's quite magical.
I like the new Franz Ferdinand single. Decent, catchy, not bad at all.
Welcome to the future, o time traveling citizen! The world is a much different place than it was in 1985, but I think you'll find some things never change...

Zappa 09-06-2005 02:40 PM

The Grand Wazoo by Frank Zappa is an album that usually surprises me. I don't hold it in high enough regard, or something.

I laughed for about 5 minutes. Thank you.

Patti Smith - Horses (4/5)
Coheed & Cambria - Good Apollo (2.5/5)
The Beatles - Help! (3.5/5)
Otis Redding - Otis Blue (4.5/5)
Kanye West - Late Registration (4/5)
Radiohead - Airbag/How Am i Driving? (4/5)
Mr. Bungle - California (3/5)

Zappa 09-06-2005 02:54 PM

Giving California a three is absolutely ridiculous.

Iai 09-06-2005 03:13 PM

Ok.

JonM 09-06-2005 03:19 PM

Good answer.

I'm digging ourTunes. Musically, I'm digging Ben Harper and Saul Williams.

Tangy zizzle 09-06-2005 03:41 PM
Giving California a three is absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah it's closer to a 2, maybe 2.5.

Kanye West - Late Registration (4/5)
How?

I mean it's good.

But no rap album involving skits should be over 3.5.

I'm digging Ziggy Stardust.

Zappa 09-06-2005 04:28 PM

What a bunch of crazies.

My favorite skit is the one where George Bush murders Kanye's family.
My favorite skit is the one where George Bush murders Kanye's family.
My favorite skit is how they are all the same and involve the term nigger at least 6 times.

God, black people suck so much sometimes.

But at least he didn't rate Coheed & Cambria higher than Bungle.

Tangy zizzle 09-06-2005 04:36 PM

I like Coheed more than i do Mr. Bungle.

YDload 09-06-2005 04:39 PM

I like both bands a whole lot. They both have a habit of sneaking poppy songs into their bizarre albums (Vanity Fair vs. A Favor House Atlantic).
