I'm taking AP English and history. I'm kind of excited. My humanities this year was a joke.

I'm taking AP History.
History is my favorite class; except, for maybe Band.

I've said it a million times, AP is a waste of time.

Speaking of History, I've got a paper due next Wednesday for my online History class, I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm taking online Health and Gym in the summer.
Gym isn't online obviously.

But it's A week instead of NINE so I'm happy.

More work != better education.

AP courses do go much quicker than normal courses so that you can cover more topics though.

The point of AP isn't just more work.

Going through more topics doesn't make the education better. I've never seen an AP student come out smarter than a regular student.

I've actually had less work this year then the previous years when I didn't take AP's. But the class requires you to actual think and analyze literature in class, not just answer some dumb simple comprehension questions.

But then again each school can and will approach the class differnetly.

I amt aking AP History next year, which is a poor match for my newly developed unmotivation to do well in school.

I never took AP classes and I am kind of in the same boat as Brain Toad as we both enrolled at community colleges after high school. However, I think you are better off taking AP courses because like others have said, they do require you to think a bit more. Sometimes that helps kids prepare for higher education while for some it does nothing.

I dropped out of an AP biology course but I wish I would have taken an AP history or literature course.
