I rode my back to and from school today. It was a nice warm day, so it felt quite nice.

coheneran 05-10-2006 04:58 AM
I'm not only planning on bike riding for fun this summer, I'm planning on using it as my main form of transportation, only bumming car rides when it's extremely important. Also building a tall bike and helping friends fix bikes is in order.

This summer will consist of living like a hippie.

Instead of getting my liscense, I'll bike.

Instead of getting a job, I'll sell tie-dye at the farmer's market

Instead of buying my friends gifts, I'll make them shirts and patches (this also will be used to "pay" for gas money, which they demand greatly for driving me).
That is so cool. Do you guys have critical mass in your town? You should organise one, it's really fun. And about as close to Yom Kippur as we can get without being in Israel. We have one in London on the last Friday of every month.

TakeWarning 05-10-2006 05:02 AM

I used to ride my bike nearly everywhere, but then I moved suburbs, and now everywhere I want to go is in walking distance or easily acessible by public transport.

It's great, getting places I wanna go is about 5 times easier.

Also, I want the track name.

Ooooo, nice bike.

good rats 05-10-2006 06:38 AM

It should be one I get rid of all the rest and buckled tires. :D

WIth the buckled wheels. Should I find some new wheels..or just bang these with a hammer til they are bent back into shape?

Greg Ginn 05-10-2006 06:40 AM

New wheels, imo.

good rats 05-10-2006 06:43 AM

Well, I'm sure as hell not going to pay a lot for new wheels. I need to go hit up some op shops and local markets. See what I can find.

Is there any way to get rid of the rust? Cause there is HEAPS of rust on it.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
There's a land thats fair and bright
And the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out everynight
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
Oh the birds and bees, and the marijuana trees
And the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Is that one.
