I know majority of you posters here dislike Emmure for varies reasons. Either way, got their new album last night, and it sounds just like Felony; for the most part.

Some of the lyrics are really bad and their sound is sorta different, but not too much different from Felony.

Yeah, for the most part. I've listened to it three times through, and it's not that appealing. Not sure why I had high expectations for it.

Wouldn't recommend anyone to listen to it.

This^ band is pretty sick.

Deathcore is generally bleh... generally very bleh... but some acts are good.

Through the Eyes of the Dead have enough death metal influences to be pretty good, The Red Chord are pretty nice (except that damned Clients record), and The Faceless do some good proggy/technical stuff.

Otherwise, not a fan.

Through The Eyes Of The Dead is really just death metal.

I mean I call it "deathcore" because yeah, but they're just a melodeath band with brutal death parts.

Clients is good imo, everything TRC did after that is meh though.

The Faceless is tech death.

TTEOTD (what an ungodly long name) I generally call death metal/deathcore, but man, you can't deny the deathcore influences they have. I think they have enough to class as deathcore.

The Red Chord's first album was expertly done. I thought Clients was just a cheap metalcore wannabe record, but hey, c'est la vie.

The Faceless are tech death for their second album, but holy shit if the first doesn't contain CONSIDERABLE deathcore elements. (I like their second album better, but both are good.)

Yeah a lot of deathcore bands ripped off TTEOTD, but they don't actually have hardcore parts.

God I love that band though. Well their older stuff, last two albums are good but not nearly as good.

Maybe my ears are off but I hear hardcore parts... sure, it's not as well pronounced as other bands, but it's there.

I haven't heard all of their material, I was only introduced to them last month by a friend. The one album I heard was pretty awesome, though.

Get their EP and the split they did with The Knife Trade.

So much win. Their old singer has the best highs.
