Every once in a while I get random calls from him about people he's met. Like the times when he partied with the Walkmen, hung out for a bit with Matt Sharp, drank a few beers with Beck's crew, and so on.

YDload 04-11-2005 02:21 PM

He should have asked Omar how he went from being a punk/indie rock guitarist who didn't know a thing about music, to a prog rock shredder.

sweboy 04-11-2005 02:28 PM

And how he can keep that fro' so smooth and bulky.

*bassist

I mean, I think he started out on bass, so if you really wanna compare extremes... ;)
And how he can keep that fro' so smooth and bulky.
my brother's fro > Omar's

vallely2004 04-11-2005 02:50 PM

Wow, supposedly the TMV guys are pretty quiet/shy though. Meh, Ive just realised Ive lost a CD for the first time :upset: I dont know how as I havent played it in ages and I am paranoid Ive lost others

leiferikson 04-11-2005 03:31 PM

I think CDs are made to dissolve into thin air if they havent been thought about for 6 months. Unless you have them neatly organised on a shelf. In that case, you'll take out a cd you havent listened to in ages only to find hundred of mysterious scratches on it. Well it seems to happen to me all the time anyway.

I do have them neatly organised though, and I still lost it somehow. BTW I have no siblings that would steal my Cds

 i cant say how many times i've had that happen to me

The NPC 04-11-2005 03:50 PM

Hmm.

asymm 04-11-2005 05:08 PM

I haven't lost an album yet... I wouldn't have expected to. I'm pretty obsessive about their care/placement. And luckily I've never found my CD mysteriously scratched. You kids do weird things to your CDs or something...

A Goonie 04-11-2005 05:11 PM

i would cry if i lost a cd i truly loved :(

Yeah, I've never lost a CD before either. In fact I had never really lost anything of great importance, until a few weeks ago when I lost my nice new mobile phone. :upset:

asymm 04-11-2005 05:18 PM

700 and stuff.

leiferikson 04-11-2005 05:26 PM

Its like when you leave headphones in a drawer for a couple of days. Its pretty much guaranteed that they'll somehow organise themselves into a mathematically impossible knot.

Little Man being Erased 04-11-2005 05:34 PM

That will happen...

I lost my phone for a month once, it was torture.

Little Man being Erased 04-11-2005 06:13 PM

It looks as though I'm never getting it back. I have a free replacement, but it is an old piece of shit.

It's a fundamental law of nature:

Anything that can become irreconcilably tangled will, usually right before you actually need it.

don't feel bad, NPC only likes three or four bands anyway. that's about the same number of alt/indie bands I like too, so it's all good.

Electrocution 04-11-2005 07:24 PM

or an Ankylosaurus.

EDIT: What the fuck YD, you ruin my comedic timing. Thanks.

Rawk On.

Butch Walker 04-11-2005 07:34 PM

I'm looking forward to seeing the Republic of Loose in the near future. They're quite an odd Dublin band who are tipped to make it big, but will most likely collapse into drug abuse, which is very cliché I must admit. I'm supposed to be acquainted with a couple of the members, but I have no idea how I would be, I've just been told I am.

Here's their strongest single: http://s1.youshareit.com/files/405cb1f5ca6dd7767f166507a4483117.html

The NPC 04-11-2005 07:47 PM

Cool.

leiferikson 04-11-2005 07:49 PM

Butch, do you know of The Chalets?
How long was yours? I only got 40 questions to get my G1..
