ok, so I just got done baking gingerbread cookies with my Gran(and I've never felt more manly with a rolling pin on one hand and a can of beer in the other) and a couple of things occured to me:
1. I've never been more embarassed by my generation. She asked for Chirstmas music so I flicked it onto a music channel and VH1 classic had "We Love Christmas" playing. this seemes Chirstmasy but unfortunately we got one christmas song, one random song and then it switched to about seventy thousand different adverts for downloading sounds for mobile phones. I can only imagine what must have been going through her head and what she thoguht of peopel my age :upset: 2. Tradition is quite possibly the strongest force in the universe. It doesn't matter how stupid something is, or if no one wants to do it. If its tradition then it gets done no matter what simply because its tradition. This is where all the evil geniuses have been going wrong. /apologises for double post + rant and goes back to watching Gremlins 2 |
Those rats in Alt & Indie keep jacking our threads, and then stating their better than us. We need to do something about that.

Know what I always wondered? Why doesn't Rolling Stone Magazine do coverage on heavier music? I'm not talking about Metallica or other such bands, but REALLY heavey stuff like Hardcore bands or Death metal? They claim to represent music, but how can they say this when they leave out other genres? Why?
|
They represent the american mainstream. Thats why you don't see death metal on the cover.
|
They represent the american mainstream. Thats why you don't see death metal on the cover.
But shouldn't they represent ALL music? Most good music is not or never will be mainstreem. Come on, how kickass would it be for Opeth or Dream theater to be on the cover of Rolling stones? |
Those bands are fairly mainstream.
|
Yeh, mainstream in the underground scene. Its wierd you know, whats 'underground' these days.
|
Those bands are fairly mainstream.
mainstreem among metal fans, but not mainstreem to the average music listener. |
Oh yeh, and too Badmoon, i think you will find i will join you in your quest to kill the Indie forum. I have a surface to air missile launcher.
/pwnt. |
I still don't understand why we want to destroy the Indie Forum

They have to make money, They sell more magazine by covering what is popular to the majority. If they did make it on the cover, every one is going to call them sell outs. |
Well guys I gotta get ready for work, so I'll see you all in a few hours.
3333 baby |
That's true.
