I don't think the US offers more than one English course a year.
So I'm not much help.

On an entirely unrelated note, I'm kind of impressed with Mae's cover of March of the Pigs.
I mean, of course Nine Inch Nails did it better, but considering Mae's usual sound and the amount of effort they put into making this particular cover not lame...

Panopticon 03-03-2008 01:02 PM

we have other english courses here...they aren't mandatory though.

Phil, you know you need special CD's that can BE lightscribed right?

They cost quite a bit more than normal CD/DVD-R's.

Can't you just get a pack of markers meant for writing on CD's and use those?

_Wrathchild_ 03-03-2008 01:09 PM

oic
Yeah this course isn't mandatory. I was just taking it because my parents said I needed to take at least 2 more courses this semester so I picked the ones that might be the least boring to me, but they ended up being the ones that required the most work :upset:. I also chose it because I'm contemplating making English my teachable minor when I go to university.

how many times have you used lightscribe on your dvd writer?

and plus, is the ddrum snare a decent snare for the dollar in a heavy music environment?

It's so warm out...Holy crap. It was 40 this morning and I was like, "lolsweet!" and now it's 60 and I drove home with the windows open.

And blasting Bjork's Earth Intruders over and over again.

English is a good major for the most part, but don't take it if you don't like difficult reading. We're reading Paradise Lost in an English class I'm taking, haha.

I like reading. I don't mind the novel study/essays part of this course. What I hate about it is all the oral presentations we have to do. I have to do 4 on my own this semester, and one of them has to be 30 minutes long. Then I have to do 4 more presentations, but in a group so its not quite as bad I guess. I really hate oral presentations though :(

Panopticon 03-03-2008 01:35 PM

hmm...i never would have guessed.

Panopticon 03-03-2008 01:37 PM

_Wrathchild_ 03-03-2008 01:39 PM

stfu gice

I guess I should know better than to say the word "oral" on this forum.

Seafroggys 03-03-2008 01:40 PM

I just had an oral presentation in Macro-Economics about Fiscal vs. Monetary Policy.

I like giving presentations.

Drum Phil 03-03-2008 01:40 PM

Oral. Lulz.

I don't liked them either, they seem quite unnecessary. You won't do very many of those in college though, mostly only in your intro classes.

the_pure_drummer 03-03-2008 01:47 PM

Watching 300 :)

bobby__johnny 03-03-2008 01:50 PM

there wasnt enough action in that movie :p

the_pure_drummer 03-03-2008 01:56 PM

muhahaha.

NP: Nerfhearder - Welcome To My World

This song kicks so much ***.
Any song involving "taking a leak in the kitchen sink" basically wins.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ237s7UnMQ
Ignore the video though, its not official and the timing's kind of off.

Drum Phil 03-03-2008 02:58 PM

Ah, nerfherder. How i miss your xmas carols.

Sunshine 03-03-2008 03:02 PM

They make me so happy.

speech class scared the bajesus outta me.

Win A Rabbit 03-03-2008 03:34 PM

I kind of want to join the writer's group in town.

My writing now sucks, but joining would keep me motivated to actually write something on a weekly basis and to actually put time in to improve.

Kainen 03-03-2008 03:36 PM

I'm no good at writing, I had an interest long ago when I was younger, but no longer.

Now photography - I'd love to take some classes.

TTTSNB 03-03-2008 03:37 PM

Haha yeah man. I was so nervous when I had to do debates, especially. Presentations still freak me ouit.

Win A Rabbit 03-03-2008 03:38 PM

Last night I actually took time to try figuring out how to work my camera.

My parents bought a decent digital camera, but all I ever did with it was point>autofocus>click.

No manual or anything, so it's like "hmm what does this do? oh that's what that does. what does this do?"
