I know Dave has an album written at the same time as TSHF, I don't know whether the new one will be this album.
I read something on the forums about the Drover brothers giving Dave some riffs they made up, so I'm guessing that it's going to be all new stuff.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-11-2006 02:47 PM

I think he will write some newer stuff maybe?

I hope so.

Stoo 01-11-2006 02:49 PM

Question: Want to buy a MegaDeth album, Which?

That is all. :)

Apocalyptic Raids 01-11-2006 02:50 PM

Rust In Peace.

BLS_Infernus2.0 01-11-2006 02:53 PM

So Far, So Good...So What!
Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?
Rust In Peace.

I dont know why but I would put The System Has Failed over SFSGSW! But in terms of Megadeths must have thrash albums its:

Rust in Peace
Peace Sells....But Who's Buying!
Toss up between KIMB...ABIG and SFSG...SW!
Five Magics 01-11-2006 06:13 PM

Seriously how much of an improvement are the remasters? Because I have every original except for KIMB and MD.45. I heard the RIP remaster, and was disappointed with some tracks.

FlyingPaul_83 01-11-2006 06:16 PM

The KIMB and SFSGSW remasters sound good to me.

Sph 01-11-2006 06:30 PM

I like the KIMB remaster, it's good. Haven't heard the SFSGSW one though.

Peace Sells... > RIP > CTE or TSHF

Aw3someman 01-11-2006 06:57 PM

Peace sells needed that remaster pretty bad

clairvoyant 01-11-2006 07:23 PM

Yes, I appreciate Peace Sells so much more now that the sound is better.

BLS_Infernus2.0 01-11-2006 07:25 PM

I saw the original and a remasters in a CD Store that lets you listen to 30 second clips before you buy...glad I got the remasters

Apocalyptic Raids 01-11-2006 08:08 PM

The remasters are crap and unecessary.

Aw3someman 01-11-2006 08:09 PM
The remasters are crap and unecessary.
On some of them. Since Megadeth spent half of production money on Peace Sells on drugs it could use a remaster and it is pretty damn good

clairvoyant 01-11-2006 08:21 PM
The remasters are crap and unecessary.
For Rust In Peace, Countdown, Youthanasia, and Cryptic Writings, yes.

For Peace Sells and So Far So Good So What, I beg to differ.

Aw3someman 01-11-2006 08:24 PM

No need at all for Countdown. That was awesome. Same for RIP

Apocalyptic Raids 01-11-2006 08:25 PM

They all sounded fine.

Killing Is My Business was the only one that actually needed a remaster, that's why it was done earlier in 2002.

pep 01-11-2006 08:26 PM

hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?

Aw3someman 01-11-2006 08:29 PM
hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?
heh yeah it would and George W. Bush might also get a brain.
/sarcasm
no way in hell it's happenin

Apocalyptic Raids 01-11-2006 08:45 PM
hey, off topic... wouldnt it be cool if metallica appeared on gigantour?
Not really.

BLS_Infernus2.0 01-11-2006 09:14 PM

that would be kick *** but Mustaine and Hetfield need to have a talk like Lar and Dave did but I don't really see that happening.

I saw a video of Friedman on a Jap. Metal show going against Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big) and they had a part were it was playing a band's song from A to Z and when it hit M Marty played Seek and Destory first then Holy Wars

I'm wondering how I could get an Ibanez V like Paul had on there

P.S. pep you shouldn't really bring Metallica up in a Megadeth thread that will start to much unwanted crap

Spaztikated 01-11-2006 09:57 PM
Seeing as Megadeth is a great band, I decided to start a thread for them. Hopefully this will get cough*official*cough. So the next Megadeth album is out in September. Do you think they will have a tour to go with it? I really want to see them live.
I have no doubt about them being good, but one of there members is formally from Metallica and he says leaving Metallica for Megadeth was the biggest mistake of his life, sorry , just wanted to make that clear, carry on

BLS_Infernus2.0 01-11-2006 10:06 PM

we already know that and if you looked I stated that a few pages ago

Spaztikated 01-11-2006 10:08 PM
we already know that and if you looked I stated that a few pages ago
obviously i didnt look then, seeming how there is over 100 pages to look through,

Bazarov 01-11-2006 10:17 PM

Everyone knows that Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica. It's not really a secret. He was bitching about it for years.

Jev 01-12-2006 01:54 AM

Yeah but apparently there's some reason that "will one day be revealed", why he was kicked out of 'Tallica.
It was probably because he was too awesome.

Electric_Eye 01-12-2006 04:00 AM

Killing Is My Business!!!
Rust In Peace!!!
Countdown to Extinction!!!

I hate peace sells and I hate The SYstem Has Failed and all teh new ****. They've gotten crap. Its cool that Menza is back but they will never be the same again its pretty much the legendary Megadave fighting a losing battle to keep his band alive.

Marty Friedman is a retard now. I used to love that guy until i met him in person at a guitar clinic. He told everyone he doesnt listen to metal anymore and now he's into J-Pop and Canto Pop. It may have been to flatter the audience but I felt like kicking his *** for it, I asked him to sign my rust in peace CD sleeve and went home very unsatisfied.

Sweating Bullets isn't meant to be taken seriously. It's meant for Megadeth enthusiasts to practice their Mustaine vocal impersonations and laugh till they drop.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-12-2006 04:01 AM

Menza isn't back...

So what, it's his choice to do what he wants. Liking J-Pop and Canto Pop doesn't make him a crappy guitarist. Maybe he's sick of metal after playing it for 15 years non-stop.
You asked him to sign it and he did? Yet you went home unsatisfied?
