I played Oblivion for the first time yesterday and needless to say it was amazing.
Oh man, it totally is. It's by far the best game on 360 right now.
But uh, Morrowind's better for the hardcorxs like myself.

SantaDuJuan 05-06-2006 10:51 PM

Anxious 05-07-2006 12:13 PM

Frank Zappa was punk 15 years before it existed.

Greg Ginn 05-07-2006 12:23 PM

Meh!

Anxious 05-07-2006 12:23 PM

He was.
Frank Zappa was punk 15 years before it existed.
Zappa is awesome. What a genius.

I'm playing peaches en regalia in my school battle of the bands. It's going to be great.

Greg Ginn 05-07-2006 12:26 PM

I'll admit he was a good guitarist but he wasn't as punk as say Iggy Pop or Johnny Thunders.

obese_breasts 05-07-2006 12:30 PM

I can play that on guitar. but a lot of the parts I know aren't guitar.

asdf 05-07-2006 12:30 PM

Zappa and Captain Beefheart were definitely early influences to punk.

Now I want to listen to We're Only In It For The Money and Trout Mask Replica.

Greg Ginn 05-07-2006 12:32 PM

Captain Beefheart was more of an influence than Zappa.

POINTLESS5448 05-07-2006 12:46 PM

i just ventured over into the rock and metal forums. their threads are huge. its redculous.
Frank Zappa was punk 15 years before it existed.
123. And Woody Guthrie was punx like ten years before Zappa was born.

Ghostfire3 05-07-2006 01:13 PM

And Johnny Cash was more punX than both Frank Zappa and Woody Guthrie.

Brain Toad 05-07-2006 01:16 PM

Zappa is amazing. Beefheart is creative and all, but his music hurts my ears.

Greg Ginn 05-07-2006 01:16 PM

that's true!!! The Johnny Cash comment I mean.

I'm obsessed with Misfits - Legacy of Brutality at the moment. Can you guys suggest any other artists/albums for me to check out?

I don't really know much punk.

Greg Ginn 05-07-2006 04:06 PM

Get the Misfits Box Set and some Samhain. For other punk pick up some Black Flag and Minor Threat coz they were linked with the Misfits.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 05-07-2006 04:28 PM

Who is that Hannah person? Some folk punk I don't know about?

Brain Toad 05-07-2006 04:29 PM
