Hey, how's it going?

bottlerocket 06-06-2005 11:13 AM

^ Not bad...studying for my English and theology finals tomorrow. :upset:

I had my AP US History final today...I owned that.

History is an awesome subject. No frilly crap like in some other ones, you either know stuff, or you don't.

bottlerocket 06-06-2005 11:35 AM

^ I strongly dislike those disciplines. I'm much more a math/science guy. I love difficult and complex ideas. I love proving theories. I love it when someone asks a question and I can prove it mathematically and scientifically.

Science > all

Yeah, science and maths are in the same style as what I mean.

Like, dealing with real facts, proving things, as opposed to subjects like religion and English.

JoeDaddio 06-06-2005 11:37 AM

I can't stand math, and I love science, but because I can't stand math, I'm no good at science.

I prefer more to be in a library all day long doing research, writing, reading, etc.

I like waffles.

Exactly. English you can't be like "NO SHUT UP YOU'RE WRONG!" I like math because it's free yet restricted at the same time. You're given next to nothing and from it you can get the answer through some thinking and critical application.

You can prove anything with math.

I like waffles, too, but, unfortunately, I don't know what show you're talking about. It's probably an Aussie show. :p

Rather than saying "NO SHUT UP YOU'RE WRONG" you write a book talking trash on whoever you think is wrong, and throw in your own facts and ideas with a good touch of wit and irony. Therefore turning "NO SHUT UP YOU'RE WRONG" into basicly "HAHAHA, YOU'RE A COMPLETE DUMB **** AND I JUST ACADEMICALLY ****ED YOU UP!"

Totally, how awesome would it be to be one of those mathematical geniuses who can just like, see the patterns in everything, solve insanely complex problems, and all that fancy stuff.

I'm terrible at maths, I had to drop it before my last two years of high school, but fuck do I respect the people who are really good at it.

pukeboy66 06-06-2005 11:47 AM

gaslight 06-06-2005 11:47 AM

I find it depressing that I would love to be good at maths and science, but what I'm actually "good" at it, is writing :upset:.

JoeDaddio 06-06-2005 11:49 AM

Hey, everyone.

How is everyone doing?

It's been like two weeks since I've last been on the forum. My internet crapped out at me at home, and I've been super busy lately.

you gonna go for a degree or whatever when you can though? (at berklee)

bottlerocket 06-06-2005 01:46 PM

^ Nah...music is for fun. I suck at bass.

I'm majoring in Chemistry...hopefully at Yale. I won a crapload of awards at school this year (I won 5 awards, a book award, and $3,250 in scholarships) and Yale sent me a letter congratulating me and asking me to visit there this summer.

Yeah...Ivy League schools want me.

HA

If you like something, you will do something for it :thumb: That is how it works with me though.. I won't go far in music, or my band has to become famous  I don't have to write enormous basslines for that band, just plain poprock. Rootnotes and little fills.. tadaa there you are

We are going to record a new demo though if we can find ourselfs a date :smoke:

lemoley 06-06-2005 02:18 PM

bottlerocket 06-06-2005 02:24 PM
