I had my University Audition today.

I played 3 songs:
This insane snare etude in 5/8
A bossa I composed
And Alone Together, a jazz standard

When I handed the professors copies of the snare solo they made a face kinda like this: :amaze:
It was funny

And they really liked my bossa so I think that earned me bonus points.
And the jazz standard went fairly smoothly, and it had an irregular form so it was more challenging than your usual AABA

And then I totally pwned the aural skills test. srsly

They told me I won't know officially if I'm accepted until I get a letter in the mail, but that basically I have nothing to worry about and I should expect an acceptance letter and probably a large scholarship as well.

There was a period in middle school where I drew like a mofo, and actually f[B]u[/B]cking practiced every night for a few months. I didn't get that great at, though, and eventually gave it up in favor of music, which I didn't get that good at, and gave that up in favor of writing, which I didn't get that good at, which I gave up for being an unemployed, lazy a[B]s[/B]s, which I'm really good at.

I'm pretty good at doodles...and graffiti letters...and stick figures with giant penises looming over salivating children...

Holy **** pwn. Today was such an awesome day.

I got woken up at 8:30 this morning which I was grumpy about for a while, but then realized I had like 4 more hours than usual to play my new bass amp. So I did that, then went for supper and got the award, come home, and my bass pod finally came.

And we're recording in ~12 hours. That's some last-minute timing.

And then I just got news that in addition to the gig we're playing on the 30th, we're working on planning one on the 29th too.

my sister and her boyfriend are fighting. They actually woke me up from being so gay/loud. So i just took a shower cause i havent taken one in 2 or 3 days so yeah im clean and im listening to elysia so life is pretty good.

thnx. today at the award ceremony thing was one of those times where it's like "as much as i hate my job some days, i'm actually making a difference in these people's lives" and it made me feel really super good and erased all those serious thoughts i've had over the last week of quitting.
