Nice, is that their newer one?
According to RYM it's their 2003 EP. I think Bartender said something about this being their only North American release. |

I did? I don't think it's the only thing available in America - most of their stuff seems to be available via Southern Lord now - but maybe it was the first made available outside Japan or something. I know Feedbacker (another 2003 release of theirs) was only just made available in Europe earlier this year. I picked it (Akuma No Uta) up while I was away, actually. What do you think of it? |

I picked it (Akuma No Uta) up while I was away, actually. What do you think of it?
Yeah that's probably it. I was a little surprised actually when I listened to the songs from Akuma, it's a lot different from Flood, which is like 100x slower than what bands like Pelican and Cult of Luna usually play. |
I've not heard Flood. I've only had the time to listen to Akuma No Uta once so far, actually. I like the cover art though, though I don't really know why they chose to imitate Nick Drake.

I want a guitar and bass in one. That thing is badass.

Oh yeah definitely. You could play both of them at the same time: plucking and snapping some percussive root notes on the bass while fretting/tapping the guitar strings. Or wait... I dunno :( |
Lootpack

I'd just like to be playing bass but also be able to pick some leads out when I'm not playing bass. |

So I guess I'm on the Kaizers Orchestra bandwagon then.
Thingy - To The Innocent.
Some of the songs are a bit short, but it's good.
The songs would be repetitive and boring if they were any longer, as with all Thingy/Heavy Vegetable albums. |
