LS, you silly boi!

Well thanks Lemoley, I appreciate it ;)

I still haven't got my phonecall. How rude.

I can't remember the stupidest thing I've done to be honest, but I have passed out in a shop once, for no reason. That's kinda funny.

Hello MX!

Watskeburt?? (Sorry, but there's a huge #1-hit in NL now, and watskeburt is dutch slang for 'What happened / What did I miss'... And I just can't get the song out of my head... I think I'm gonna try to tab the bassline... it may help...)

Left Shoe 06-03-2005 03:44 PM

fatbandit 06-03-2005 03:49 PM
I'm really bored. Daft Punk getting repetitive... Never thought I'd say that... :upset:

:smash:
Daft Punk is like synonym (sp?) for repetitive... it's always a 1/2/4-bar loop thats repeated all through the song... :p

But that doesn't mean it aint nice music... :thumb:

fatbandit 06-03-2005 03:58 PM

There's some sublime Daft Punk (Aerodynamic, anyone?), but the rest is dross.

:smash:

fatbandit 06-03-2005 03:59 PM

I should be off in a minute dudes. Have fun without me. That's an order. Phil will enforce my will.
I might buy a bass tomorrow...
:D
Awesome!

What bass?

PaulSimonon 06-03-2005 10:20 PM

A Fender Aerodyne...

Yeah, I don't really understand it either, but it sounded killer (I didn't believe it was basswood....), and played amazingly nice.

Convectuoso 06-03-2005 10:24 PM

Well hope it goes well for you.

Anyone know how to get a codec for WMP10 that allows you to play Avi formatted files?

I downloaded a Couple of bass videos in Avi and can't play them :upset:

Spaceman Spiff 06-03-2005 10:27 PM

I really want/need a good 4 string, I just never have time to go try any out. I guess I'll be able to in a couple weeks when school finishes.

Spaceman Spiff 06-03-2005 10:29 PM

I think you can play avi files with the latest version of Winamp. If you want to use WMP, then just search for the codec, I don't know of on offhand.

PaulSimonon 06-03-2005 10:30 PM

Take a few runs on an Aerodyne... It was really weird man, it was a great bass...

Convectuoso 06-03-2005 10:34 PM

F.uck I just uninstalled that today

Correction: I thought I did bt it still won't play them :(

Spaceman Spiff 06-03-2005 10:36 PM

My music store dilemma is that the closest (good) one is about a 35-45 minute drive.

PaulSimonon 06-03-2005 10:41 PM

/has a decent shop within walking distance

/shop doesn't have much bass stuff

Convectuoso 06-03-2005 10:42 PM

/has a great shop in town.

/lots of bass stuff

/mates with the owner

/wins

JoeDaddio 06-03-2005 10:45 PM

There are enough music stores around here for me to get completly **** faced drunk and wake up in the morning with a brand new acoustic electric bass, not remembering how I bought it.

JoeDaddio 06-03-2005 10:55 PM

Spaceman Spiff 06-03-2005 10:57 PM

Oh yeah!

Now that you mention it, I actually remember that now.

And it's still funny.

Spaceman Spiff 06-04-2005 12:53 AM

So, it has taken lots of thinking and eliminating people from the position of guitarist, but I think I have finally completed my dream band.

Mike Patton - Lead Vocals (and whatever else he wants to do)
Les Claypool - Bass, Backing Vocals (if necessary)
Danny Carey - Drums
Devin Townsend - Guitar, Backing Vocals (if necessary)

Now, I chose Devin Townsend because he plays guitar in several different genres of music and is no stranger to weird and experimental music. I have a feeling he would fit in quite well in this band.

We should make a story to accocmpany that assumption.

Mine would be....

Freddy Mercury- Lead Vocals (exclude the fact hes dead)
Steve Harris - Bass
John Petrucci - Lead Guitar
Malcom Young - Rythm Guitar
Mike Portnoy- Drums

I pick these because they are probably the leaders in the rock genre at their instrument.

Spaceman Spiff 06-04-2005 01:03 AM

I'd do anything to get my dream band to become a real band. It would definately work.
