P.S. - No, that night did not end very well. We decided to drink Vodka about 3 hours later. It all went down hill after that.

Modern Iconoclast 10-08-2010 04:59 PM

All American mass-produced beers taste like piss. Sam Adams is the only one that's mass-marketed and tastes good, but it's technically a craft brewer. German beer is where it's at (with the exception of shit like Beck's which is owned by Anheuser-Busch).

Papa Shank 10-09-2010 04:36 AM

It's baz' birthday today :o What is it, 40 going on 22?
Heineken tastes like, what I would imagine, piss tastes like. Budweiser is where it is at. Pretty much any Bud/Light I'll drink. Miller is meh... but a favorite of my friends. If I'm in a mood for something different then I'll go Guinness.
Bud light? Bud light tastes like the piss of somebody who keeps themselves properly hydrated, because it's pretty much indistinguishable from water.

Heineken isn't my favourite, but, you know, "fuck that shit, pabst blue ribbon" and all that.

jaklyons 10-09-2010 06:36 AM

Sup beer lod.

Sad But True 10-09-2010 07:41 AM

American Budweiser is drinkable, but not preferable. The Budvar Budweiser is the shit though.

Blue_Moon 10-09-2010 08:05 AM

The_Mop 10-09-2010 08:16 AM

Asian beers are pretty tasty, Asahi is a personal favourite of mine.

Dunno much about ales but kwak is pretty damn awesome.

Edit: also sailor jerry ftw

AG 10-09-2010 08:21 AM

Asahi is pretty awesome, I used to sell it at Yo!

Buy it in for 36p per bottle, sell it for £3.90, dems the breaks.

Blue_Moon 10-09-2010 08:28 AM

chang beer is alrite till u hae about 40 of them then its just messy

singha isnt bad and tiger beers alrite

few months ago in vietnam, there was beers for 15c i almost pissed myself on hearing that, then almost pissed myself after consuming it

Sad But True 10-09-2010 08:30 AM

Lod, I'm bored. Between now and 6:30 I have to shower, shit and have a nap. That leaves me with a lot of free time. should I:

A. Go and start preliminary work on the wood for my pedalboard
B. Read a book outside while it's nice
C. Play some PC games
D. Other

jaklyons 10-09-2010 09:10 AM

Free time isn't meant for doing anything productive, it's meant to be wasted.

I vote C.

Blue_Moon 10-09-2010 09:15 AM

D ...

Sad But True 10-09-2010 09:48 AM

I went with D. I lost my pod for a few weeks after my tour cause someine forgot to pick it up from one of the local venues we played, so I get it back and my main 7 string setting which I'd been messing with for months was wrong, so I've had to start again :(

Kuffuffled 10-09-2010 10:28 AM

What are your plans for a pedal board? I'm wanting to build a legit ATA case style one. A box with latches to close it all up. Not exactly sure how I'm going to go about it but I'm pretty sure I can get all the materials at the local lumber place and cover it in tolex. Some dude in the city sells it for like $20/meter

Sad But True 10-09-2010 11:37 AM

Well it's going to be a bit of a monster in that I'm making it all from MDF (omg weight) and it's got to close up with a lid and everything, and it's nearly a metre long.

It needs to house my FCB1010, whammy, tuner, bad monkey, and, when I get round to fixing them, my wah and OD-2, with space for expansion and all the mains/cable tucked under the second tier and with a nice router/box/thing so I literally just plug the board into my amp.

Squirrel 10-09-2010 11:53 AM

I've been playing Assassins Creed 2 and Resident Evil 5 all day. Pretty good day tbh.

Kuffuffled 10-09-2010 12:04 PM

Assassins Creed gets boring pretty quick. I love resident evil but 5 was just bad. A retard obviously created the controls in that game. Wtf is with the trend of having an inept AI partner

SBT: thoughts on bad monkey?

Blue_Moon 10-09-2010 12:10 PM

i like a bit of assassins creed, i dont find it that boring but understand why some do, sure i used to sometimes drive around GTA like a normal citizen the odd time

Squirrel 10-09-2010 12:23 PM

I can see why you might say AC2 is boring but I enjoy it a lot; lots of things to do and I love the open enrivonment.

The controls arent great in RE5 but it's a still a solid game.

motogrifo 10-09-2010 01:31 PM

The bad monkey is awesome and cheap.

AG 10-09-2010 01:59 PM

SBT I would suggest not having your FCB in the case, carry it seperately/plug it in. It'll cost you like, 10 seconds extra setup time, and will make things lighter, cheaper and easier to carry.

I've been painting orks all day and making a preliminary army list.

Stagg make a pedalboard EXACTLY the right size for an FCB1010 that costs about £35. And when I say 'exactly', I mean the lid only goes on when the expression pedals are toe down. It can't be accidental.

You don't want a 'connect everything' board to be sending midi, they don't make cable with enough cores of audio quality.

Blue_Moon 10-09-2010 10:10 PM

get a premade board its worth it
