Are you talking about the verse sections?
7-5-3-00-333 7-5-3-00-333 7-5-3-00-333 etc Palm muted bit. The verse one is great to play, but its just when it goes into MJK more regular rythym singing part ("As below, so above and beyond, I imagine" - part). It just gets me fuddled Though its probably out of hatred of doing a rythym section in a song for a longer time than lead, thats made me lazy enough to not bother playing it properly |
just do the second mute each time
|
HA....thats gold jerry.......GOLD!!!
i knew i wasnt fukked up in the head /in denial |

It gets lost in the bass, drums, and singing. But if you sit down, turn it up, and really concentrate, you hear it perfectly and you can get it down pretty easily. I also don't use powerchords for it, because it doesn't sound like a chord to me, I just use the root notes. |

hey, anyone have the 100% (correct)
versions of 1. Jimmy 2. the patient 3 lateralus (if that part is wrong) 4. Push it 5...anything else i like hehe |
have you used guitar pro 4?

I do the same trick with Ænema, sod the chords, do the root, add the high D every now and again for the 'clincking' effect. Plus root notes allow for more messing about* than chords. *improv to make it sound fancy |

The chords in that section make it sound too bloated, because the bass and drum parts are really making it heavy already there. Plus, I do throw in a few little slides and things to make it more interesting. |
have you used guitar pro 4?
nah, my dad is a computer nazi, so i just use this one at work. I was thinking about getting me a laptop for just that sort of thing |

there files are the most correct i have yet to find. |
where do you get these files?
|
http://mysongbook.com
you need guitar pro to open them though |
guitar pro, you got a link for that?
could you explain please...what it does, etc? thanks |
guitar pro plays the files on my song book, and shows you how its written, you can download just about any artist. there will be drum parts, bass parts, guitar parts. (sometimes theres vocals). If you click the link mentioned above you can find out how to order it if you search the main page. (i got mine for free from the last guitar player i had)

i prolly couldnt get you to upload that to yousendit could I? |
You can always use the poor mans version, Powertabs, which is free to download, and does the same purpose, only in midi. And isnt as nice to read as GP

TALK ABOUT A LAWSUIT!!!! |
hmm.....nevermind then
|
then again the copy ur using would also be illegal
|
can you write your own music using powertabs?
|
can you write your own music using powertabs?
ive never used it to be honest with ya |
can you write your own music using powertabs?
Personally? A bit, but i struggle. But as in software purpose, yes you can. You can write out the guitar and bass score on tab lines, and you add the note types, etc. Its not as easy as GP's ol' click-the-fretboard thing, but its ok to use and piece together songs. And there is a large database of pre made songs available from its ite too And I know that wasnt aimed at me, but I like talking :upset: |
then again the copy ur using would also be illegal
shhhhhhhhhhhh keep it on the down low also im on dial up it would take forever |
im a drummer, but using guitar pro is how i learned all danny's parts. i suck at writing guitar but its fun to fuk around on GP.
sorry bout the double post i just thought someone had posted already. this thread posts really fast, compared to the drum threads. |
thats kewl then dont worry about it. I was just like, hey if you're splittin hairs, i got a long one for ya haha
|
I think the tabs on power tab are alot more accurate then the ones on Guitar Pro. I found one ticks & leeches tab on there that was mad wrong. And it had no drums, thats like stairway to heaven without guitar.
