Well, I was plesantly surprised at the new Black Dahlia Murder and Between The Buried And Me albums. Hangman's Hymn was great, City Of Echoes blew me away, and a few others were good here and there, but otherwise, yeah music has been in a depression as of late (TDEP :upset:)

Have you heard the newest cd. Solo's, well placed guitar fills, difference in vocal pitch, better riffs in general. It's like somebody gave these guys a bunch of good cd's and told them to learn from them. They've improved a lot.


And on the Between the Buried and Me note, theres nothing metalcore about them, they grew up after the first album.

Yeah the new AILD definitely has a bit more credible influences on it than prior albums. BTBAM owns and A7X's first cd was ok, but I love Warmness On The Soul (the song), its awesome.

Agreed. Most people who say that, not meaning you Hpb, don't really look for good stuff. They expect it to fall into their lap, but it doesn't, now that the DU is gone.

Word. But why the **** did DEP think releasing their new cd was even a good idea. With the exception of most of 2 songs, it's garbage, i'm so disapointed.

Yeah some of the bands around are truley getting worse and worse.

I think he is talented and good at what he does, I just like what he used to do much better, and i don't just mean screaming.

That's what i'm saying, it's not the no screaming thing that bothers me, im either way on that issue. His cleans seem to have suffered immensly as well as his placement, and well as his lyrics.

It's like he didn't even try, he just walked into the studio, heard the songs for the first time, and made up **** as he was going.

Maybe it's just me, but uuugh.
