Taking Back Sunday is awesome.

TakeWarning 04-27-2006 10:35 AM

It's so weird how Neighbours is popular in England but so unpopular over here...

Angry Balled Fists! 04-27-2006 10:36 AM

Oh i know.

Their new album is a bit of a dissapointment to me. MakeDamnSure is amazing though. As is Spin.

I'm like one in a hundred who really likes WYWTB.

TAYF is obv the best though.

Really ?

It f'ucking owns, i love it.

RetiredAt21 04-27-2006 10:37 AM

Make Damn Sure is right up there with my other favorite TBS songs.

TakeWarning 04-27-2006 10:37 AM

Haha I can't think of anyone who watches it.

Angry Balled Fists! 04-27-2006 10:40 AM

Same, RA21. I'd say my fave TBS songs are Head Club, Ghost Man on 3rd, The Union and MakeDamnSure.

And, Kieran, loads watch Neighbours here.

Toady ftw.

TakeWarning 04-27-2006 10:43 AM

Yah my sis told me how popular it is.

So I gather you'll be supporting Arse in the final Dan?

Angry Balled Fists! 04-27-2006 10:44 AM

Yeah, i want any English team to win apart from liverpool, my hate for them is nearly as strong as my love for Newcastle :-/

I love it when Arsenal play there "sexy football" it's so good to watch.

Neighbours time, s'later.

TakeWarning 04-27-2006 10:48 AM

Yeah Arsenal are pretty good to watch I admit.

TakeWarning 04-27-2006 10:52 AM

I'm off to bed, goodnight punX.

Drop The Baby 04-27-2006 10:56 AM
Lol at James usertitle. Which part of Australia are you coming to?

Pop-punk sucks, has done ever since I can remember.
I can't totally remember, but i'm visiting a few different cities.
It's all of that stupid scene crap they listen to. It's so lame.
Neighbours is coool.

Rise Me Up 04-27-2006 12:55 PM

Frank Zappa reminds me of Bowie. And I like my Bowie.

Brain Toad 04-27-2006 03:43 PM
Frank Zappa reminds me of Bowie. And I like my Bowie.
That comparison makes no sense.

TentativeDecisions 04-27-2006 03:59 PM

It's like comparing Richard Cheese to Michael Jackson.

asdf 04-27-2006 04:45 PM
Frank Zappa reminds me of Bowie. And I like my Bowie.
Yeah, that comparison is odd. Very odd.

What Zappa are you listening to?

Brain Toad 04-27-2006 05:32 PM

Woo, I'm finally going to learn how to drive and get my license. After school is out (3-4 weeks) I'm going to take the written and get my learner's permit, then learn to drive. Hopefully I don't suck completely at it so I can get my licnese quickly. I took samples of the written test and did pretty good, it's all common sense.

Anti-Prefix 04-27-2006 06:28 PM

Comparisons in music are hugely ambiguous, and he may hear something in each that you guys don't. Stop being narrow-minded fascists.

And besides, they are both Hard, Prog-Rock.

 fascism.

And I don't see any "hard" rock in Bowie, just glam.

You label anything from that period prog-rock, Sam.

Rise Me Up 04-27-2006 06:37 PM

Bowie was progressive.

Brain Toad 04-27-2006 06:40 PM

Having two artists be prog-rock or progressive doesn't mean a similar sound though. There is too many varied sounds in the genre.

That's what I thought. Great album. Honestly, it's always been my favorite.

Listened to any of his other stuff? I've started to really appreciate his 60's era stuff, recently. If you haven't allready, check out Freak Out! and We're Only In It For The Money. Or if you want Jazzy stuff, Hot Rats.

I love Zappa.

Rise Me Up 04-27-2006 06:41 PM

Oh.

I should listen to more Zappa. The first time I heard Don't Eat Yellow Snow, I loved it. I've got We're Only In It For the Money and Absolutely Free and I'm getting One Size Fits All now.

Dweezil is doing a tour performing his father's songs.

asdf 04-27-2006 06:50 PM

I know, and my family really wanted to go see it. But when he's playing anywhere near us, it's the day before Bonnaroo, so we just can't make it.

Brain Toad 04-27-2006 06:52 PM

The local radio station was giving away tickets to it the other day, I wouldn't mind going.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Journey live, though Def Lepperd is touring with them, and they suck.

asdf 04-27-2006 06:53 PM

You'd have to pay me to see either.

This year is proving to be a great year in concerts, though. I really believe it will be my best so far.

Brain Toad 04-27-2006 06:57 PM

I have no idea why I love Journey so much, I usually don't like the power ballad arena rock stuff, but Journey is just so fun to listen to. I bet they'd be really good live too.

Hopefully once I get my license and all I'll be able to go to usually good selection of shows here. But with gas prices like they are in the Yayizzle, I'm not so sure.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 04-27-2006 06:57 PM

Ghost Mice aren't that good.

They lack the energy I need in songs.
