I dunno, Black usualy is a winner on Jazzes.. Natural also look nice on basses with that kinda inlays...

Maple. I prefer the look, and my bass at the moment has a rosewood fretboard, so I would like some variety.

That Jazz would look quite interesting in black with the rosewood fingerboard, having a black pickguard and all.

I'd get one of those Jazzes but they're around £100 more than the Precisions :upset:

It is just WOOD as a matter of fact.. I think you pay a lot more for the name than the real quality.

Well, you're also paying for the bridge, the body shape, pick-ups, price varies depending on what type of pickups, active or passive, you pay for a lot of things, the pricing of the wood I think remains the same, since it doesn't change unless you get an American, which is supposed to feel much better than a Mexican.

You have to pay all the workers though. The raw materials themself doesnt cost that much, its juts labour, machinery, etc.

Also, the companies want to make some profit!

800 dollar for a bass! It is just so much and still not perfect..

And the improvement you make from a 300 dollar bass to a 800 dollar bass isn't like: WOW this is REALLY worth it.
