S'all good. I really think at least one forum on the internet needs a music taste pie that's publicly viewable in everyone's profile though. Petition that!
|
i guess idk, doesnt really seem like anyone here is clamoring for such a thing
|
Yeah, the review part of the site is starting to loose it's novelty.
its* i dont ever correct peoples' grammar but god damn if you're gonna do it at least get that right |
I forgot about Adorno, what's wrong with me? :(
|
Haha, thanks. That's one taboo I've got to curb. I keep doing it without realising.

see you should've replied back insulting me but now that you actually thanked me for being a smartass i feel bad thanks new guy |
So that worked out in my favor in the end. XP
Okay, how about this, "Don't lecture me on a trivial error anybody can make until you pass grade one grammar yourself idiot!" How was that? Screamo with Neil Perry breakdowns... honestly I never really payed much attention to breakdowns in Screamo till you metioned it. Didn't even realise Neil Perry had such sweet breakdowns and the first song I listened to to check it out, Fading Away Like the Rest of Them had a sick breakdown 3 seconds into the song! |
Yeah, Neil Perry, Jeromes Dream, and Joshua Fit For Battle = best breakdownz.
|
breathing with one bad lung is p much the best breakdown in screamo
|
Word. Seeing Means More is another skramz with ill breakdowns band that I really like.
The metalcore as fuck breakdown in Beach is chill. |

Chyeah.
@Ethan: The two songs on their split are sweet, but yeah, the EP is kind of monotonous. Bigman's vocals are incredible though. They have ill breakdowns though, on the real. |
So how much stuff has City of Caterpillar released?

s/t and a split with pg99 |
Alright, yeah, when I downloaded Pg.99's Document #9 it didn't have City of Caterpillar's stuff on it, and then I found this Demo & Live Recordings album, and it basically just has live versions of their songs and then the missing two songs from that split. So it all worked out in the end I guess.
And I downloaded 1000 Travels of Jawaharlal's discography. Honestly, I've yet to even hear a Screamo band I do not like. I think I have listened to more Screamo bands than any other genre, and there's still so many I've yet to hear. Man... I don't have enough time in my life to listen to all the good music, let alone time to waste on anything that isn't awesome! |
don't see what's so special about pg.99, they have like 3 songs i like and one of them is a filth cover
|
you have yet to hear a screamo band you didnt like? lol some are pretty bad
|
you were all about them when you first started getting into screamo, why the change?
EDIT: @ austin |
because the good songs they have are really awesome, i just can't get into anything but them. i try, believe me.
|
your face is a rape scene is amazingggggg
|
Name a bad Screamo band.
And Pg.99 are awesome, unlike the vast majority of bands in the world, their songs are not just the same thing rehashed. Songs like The Lonely Waltz of Leonard Cohen are very unique. Even the way they release their material is creative and origional. I honestly have a hard time understanding why anyone who likes any Screamo doesn't like them. But I guess it comes down to personal taste. I saw one kid posting on youtube who named some sweet Screamo bands he liked, but for some reason he didn't like Orchid or Circle Takes the Square. To me... this just does not compute. @12XU, hope you didn't take offense to my faux insult on the previous page. You dind't respond to it, so I just wanted to make sure you knew I was kidding. :) |
man there are a lot of forgettable screamo bands

In love with an Apparition
Lonesome Waltz... The List I don't really like aggressive screamo music that much, and Pg.99 is pretty chaotic and all over the place. I like structured emo/screamo with good lyrics that varies between chaos and twinkly interludes - I Hate Myself is a perfect example of that, and if you want to look into soft core emo, Joie De Virve is also a good example. |
last two tracks on the Seeing Means More EP are the shit.
as for CoC, in addition to the pg99 split and the LP they have a demo (this is super rare though), a split with System 2600, a tour 7", and a demo+live compilation. only thing I'm lacking is the System 2600 split and the tour 7". gief. |
about to blast king bigmin's top ten
In Loving Memory Portraits of Past Spirit of Versailles Jeromes Dream Loma Prieta Usurp Synapse Life is a Fight Sinking Steps Rising Eyes Phasma Phasmatis SheNotesTheChariots I don't agree with all his choices, but all of the bands are super rad. |
