Did you hear it or...?

Leper 01-07-2006 11:38 PM

You know what's fun? Expressing your views on religion or politics with co-workers while working in a customer service type environment. You get a lot of funny looks from people.

Haha... I feel a story coming... elaborate?

I've read about it. Or rather, I read as much as I could before tears filled my eyes.

Meh, I'm probably being a little too presumptuous here. I'll give it a good listen when it's available since it is an SF album.

Leper 01-08-2006 12:05 AM

Well I work at a Famous Players theater, usually in box office, and if it's not busy we often get in little discussions, the topic of course varies depending on who's working that day, but usually we get so in-depth and overthink things so that our conversations just end up sounding retarded.

Whenever we get on the topic of politics, which I know literally nothing about, I always mention that I'm going to vote for the communist party, which never fails to get a funny look from people who hear it in passing.

And then one time someone brought up scientology or whatever, and they told me it was Tom Cruises belief in science proving that god exists or something like that. And I was like, "but wait, most of science usually proves against religion," and then the topic just escalated from there, and we came to the conclusion that science can't possibly win an arguement against religion, because science has to find proof in its claims, and religion can bascially say whatever it wants and people will believe it.

Eleventeen 01-08-2006 12:25 AM

rofl, the funniest part is: that's not at all what scientology is.

oh and a quote from another forum I visit that made me almost die laughing:
cant find any good pictures, but 311 was the best band of the 90s
edit:

same guy said
90's had like 2 good bands.
Ya well I couldn't remember exactly what it was. It had something to do with Tom Cruise though.

How stupid do you have to be to follow scientology?

Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2006 04:00 AM

I used wikipedia quite a bit for school. It was especially handy for History.

Which album did you review?
This is a terrible day. I had to work 12 hours at the biggest redneck convention north of Texas, was forced to ignore several calls from an extermely hot girl because I was at work, and get home to find out that the new Shadows Fall album is going to suck ass.

No and according to Jom he's quite busy at the moment (studying for exams) so the situation will be solved as soon as he comes back.
