It's a bit late, but my list from Train of Thought. Best to worst.

1. This Dying Soul
2. As I Am
3. Endless Sacrafice
4. Vacant
5. In The Name Of God
6 Honor Thy Father
7. Stream of Consciousness
Can someone pass me Dream Theater's When Dream and Day United?
Yeah give me your e-mail and I'll get it to you along with Lemuria's upload.

And to be honest, I can't stand Honor Thy Father. I don't like the lyrics at all.

Rattlehead 04-22-2006 04:04 AM

i love the vocals in it. i prefer them to his images and words style of singing.

Clunge 04-22-2006 04:46 AM

1. As I Am
2. Honor Thy Father
3. This Dying Soul
4. Endless Sacrifice

7. Vacant

Pour moi.

1. Stream of Conciousness
2. In the Name of God
3. As I Am
4. This Dying Soul
5. Vacant
6. Endless Sacrifice
7. Honor Thy Father

It's different.

Mr_Bounce 04-22-2006 08:57 AM

Honor Thy Father's opening drum patterns + rhythmic semi-breakdown riff (all before vocals) > rest of song, by a lot, IMO.
Sorry dude, I'll have to resend it tomorrow or Sunday. I spent about 2 hours uploading it when I got a message saying
"Your file exceeds the 50MB limit for unregistered users"

I got that DVD not too long ago. The production isn't that good, but it is still a very entertaining thing to watch.

Petrucci 04-22-2006 01:39 PM

I love that DVD!

GenuineImitation 04-22-2006 01:46 PM

The only problem I have with it, is that they put stuff that should be extra's inbetween the concert footage. I would have liked it much better if they didn't do that, but what are you going to do. Its still great, however nothing beats Budokon yet. The new DVD will rival it, it may even be better.

White 04-22-2006 02:06 PM

Right now Im listning to "The Test That Stumped Them All" Its wicked

GenuineImitation 04-22-2006 02:15 PM

That and War Inside My Head are my favorite parts of 6DOIT.

Jev 04-22-2006 04:48 PM

Absolutely brilliant on LATB too.
Especially James' pimping actions.

Does anyone else in here think that The Glass Prison is one of the band's best songs? Even though I have a hard time listening to them, this song struck me as being really really good.

"The Glass Prison" is a great song. I find it kinda hard to listen to at first but now I really like it. It's good but I'm not sure if it belongs in the Dream Theater top 10.

As much as I love the song, I dont think it is the best. But thats just my opinion.

Thats the song that got me into Dream Theater. Then I heard As I Am:)

GenuineImitation 04-22-2006 10:46 PM

The song that got me into DT was Pull Me Under. I then bought Train of Thought and was hooked for life.

Same here. That's why I still regard "Pull Me Under" as a good Dream Theater song. It got me into Dream Theater, so I have a good connection with that song.

Its one of my favorite DT songs for that reason. Sure there are better songs, but if it wasnt for PMU, I wouldnt know who they are.

heavy metal kid 04-22-2006 11:38 PM

The first song i've heard from DT was Pull Me Under, but it didn't have an impact at first, then i've heard Home by the time the crazy outro finished i was downloading the song, i think that was the song that got me into DT.

Crysiss 04-22-2006 11:42 PM

Pull Me Under is an awesome song as well.

Train of Thought and Octavarium are heavy and fast.

Metropolis pt. II: Scenes from a Memory and Images and Words are the best.( they aren't too heavy)

Mother 04-22-2006 11:59 PM

Thanks

RideTheSpiral 04-23-2006 01:03 AM

Scenes From a Memory is way heavier than Octavarium...
