Oh, and has anyone ever heard of this book?
No, but it looks cool.

robo2448 10-02-2005 04:19 PM

One of These Days is like the greatest song ever. Random, but true. Sorry for this pointless post, but Gilmour's slide solo just completely blew me away for like the 100th time.

np- One of These Days

NP: Shine On You Crazy Diamond (the second part)

np- Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2

I'm liking DSOT more and more the more I hear it. At first I thought it was nowhere near as good as Pulse. I still don't think it's as good as Pulse, but after repeated listens, I've decided it's awesome and right below Pulse.

Edit- I think the version of Comfortably Numb off of DSOT is the best version that I have ever heard. The whole 2nd disc of DSOT is fucking amazing.

Floyd's underrated epic.

Lucky 7's.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-02-2005 05:09 PM

SOYCD underrated? Yeah, it probably is, but it's still one of the most renowned PF songs, I'd say. One of my personal faves for sure.

Lunch 10-02-2005 05:25 PM

I meant the second (6-9) part. 1-5 certainly gets enough credit.
I don't think it's a concept at all. You guys think WAY to deeply into this concept business. Sorry to be the one that points this out but I just think you guys get way too obsessed with concepts. You guys are alright to say Animals, DSoTM, the Wall and Wish You Were Here are all concepts but I don't think you're on to something with Meddle. Good thinking though. :p
Haha, finally someone to share my DSOT fanboyism. :D

dr._feelgood 10-02-2005 07:35 PM

What does DSOT stand for? I'm sorry, I should know this.

Kingofdudes 10-02-2005 07:55 PM

Ugh DSoT. The filming is horrible. I prefer Pulse, and the Volcano relief concert versions of CN.

Broken Arrow 10-02-2005 07:57 PM

DSOT, all I have is the VHS, its pretty good.

BigTrav415 10-02-2005 08:22 PM

Don't have the CD or film version of DSOT :( I really want to get LAP as well, I'll get that first.

Broken Arrow 10-02-2005 08:23 PM

I dont have LAP either, I have the audio for it though.

magicbus 10-02-2005 08:28 PM

The dvd is awesome. You guys should buy it immediately.

DeusExMachina 10-02-2005 08:32 PM

You have just the audio? Dude, you should send that out!

BigTrav415 10-02-2005 08:38 PM

Someone made a "wots uhhh the deal" thread in Teh Pit

MBS 10-02-2005 08:50 PM

Can someone upload the Divison Bell and YSI it to me at inevergiveyoumymoney@gmail.com ?

It would be much appreciated. :)

DeusExMachina 10-02-2005 09:09 PM

Aaron - I'll upload it tomorrow, unless someone's already done it by then.

BigTrav415 10-03-2005 07:22 PM

Soooo.... bump.

Oh, and np: Echoes. I've been sucked back in by the almighty Meddle :(

JonG already uploaded it. I could upload the LAP audio and/or DSOT if anyone's interested.

I tried ripping it and it half worked but it sped up some of the songs :(

Doctor Night 10-04-2005 10:07 AM

Well, I just happen to own Wish You where here, and Animals, so right now I'm very, very very happy indeed. Has anyone seen the Wall live and is it good and can you reccomed any other good live DVD's Please.

Oh and Moaner, I did some of my rant about maths in the UK thread if you wish to check it out.

Ephemeral 10-04-2005 10:13 AM

Live at Pompeii is cool.

I thought it was pretty cool. I think it was near the end where they have a dog singing.

Yeah, it was quite odd. But they have TONS of leslie speakers for that 'show' they have like as many leslies as they have amps.

Uploading the LAP audio would be very highly appreciated, if you have the time.

I'm trying to convince my school to perform Atom Heart Mother this year. I don't think they'll go for it, but it would be really cool if they did.

I'll give LAP maybe late this afternoon or tomorrow morning. As I said in the Beatles thread, that would be awesome if you performed AHM at school
