I used to, but i stopped about 2 years ago ( playing Metallica, not guitar ).

I've almost got the second solo in The Four Horsemen

Nice, im more into playing virtuoso music now, or very technical stuff.

Battery (All but the main solo)
Fade To Black (All but the last solo)
One (All)
Nothing Else Matters (All)
No Leaf Clover (All but the solo)
Orion (all but the solo's, know most of the first and second one)
Call of Ktulu (all but the solo)

I wish i could say the same, but i guess in a few years if i keep practicing

Few years? Nah, I've been playing for a little over one year and I can play the aforementioned stuff up to speed.

I can play a few a few Metallica intros on the guitar; One, Sanitarium, Nothing Else Matters. But I'm really only an absolute beginner, so can't do much (read anything) more than that.

Having got a double bass drum pedal for christmas I intend to learn a lot more on the drums (my main instrument) now.

my band is getting some songs together for a talent show, we're playing for whom the bell tolls and call of the ktulu but we arent sure what else any suggestions?

**OFFICIAL** threads are only started if theres actually a need for one - this one was started when there were loads of threads bitching about St. Anger. Thus this was created so all the bitching could be focussed in one place.

OK, if the word OFFICIAL bothers you, just think of this thread as a "Metallica General Discussion Thread." There's no need to make a big fuss about it. I doubt Lars would want to close this site merely because it contains and OFFICIAL Metallica thread that wasn't approved by them. End of story.

that little fill solo in Battery seems fairly easy

you could probaby have one person do the guitar that comes in first and u could play the next part, they wont miss the 3rd guitar but what i usually do is play the 2nd and 3rd...you cant hammer and pull...but it sounds good
