A lot of the stories my grandfather told my siblings and parents about mining sound horrible though.

My Junior/Senior year (one year) ruled. The last half I was just doing a few computer classes and then office aid all day. I pretty much did what I want when I want :cool:

Coal mining is far more dangerous than other types of mining. In addition, most of the coal mining accidents occur in deep underground coal mines in countries without the stringent safety regulations of Australia (U.S.A, China, etc).

My whole area was based on the mining industry. Got its own dialect and everything, and my uncle still sings songs about it today. I enjoy reading about it, to be honest, thought it's not the mining itself that interests, it's realising how much of what I take to be 'normal' is actually really idiosyncratic to the north east.

Anyone want to play Halo 2 or something? I'm bored :(

I wish I could, but I have gay homework. My friend is having a Halo 3 party at his place on friday, apparently there is going to be like 32 people playing at once. >_>

Halo is a pretty overrated game. Not bad but I don't think that 2 million kids need to skip a week of school just to play it.
