hey man. the first mortal kombat isnt poorly written at all! one night i got so bored that i read through the plots and character descriptions for every damn mortal kombat game. the movie follows the first couple games pretty closely. the second sucked but was still entertaining. theyre coming out with a third one.

If it follows the formula of sequels, it will probaly suck some major balls.

MBS 01-07-2006 01:36 AM

The games have plots?

Each character has a reason to join the Mortal Kombat Tournament

Backstories, mostly. They're not clever or anything though.

gmoneyguy 01-07-2006 01:45 AM

i never thought I would see the day when i got into Coheed and Cambria.

nah, it should at least be better than the second one. they got the original cast back for this one.

they have backstories. some are surprisingly complicated. all of them are pointless but what can ya do? theyre for a video game series.

Tyler 01-07-2006 02:02 AM

I'm done my review, but some of the bolds and stuff didn't show up. How do I edit it, exactly? I also noticed I typed "Finally" instead of "Finale". How do I edit reviews?

Once you get over the vocals it's awesome.

That or remembering how ugly the singer gets by the day.

/me finally finds thread, on 2nd page, no posts in nearly 7 hours

so, i'm finally 18, and life is as boring as ever. although i have got £180 so far, my parents haven't told me how much they're giving me yet, so i should be able to get plenty of cds. i haven't really had anything interesting yet, but i wasn't expecting much anyway.

Jev 01-07-2006 09:56 AM

Going out and getting drunk tonight Josh?

Josh 01-07-2006 10:02 AM

quite possibly. was meant to be going out for a meal first, but just going to the pub now. it means my boss won't have to make me "shandies" with a splash of lemonade any more.

Six Foot Revolver 01-07-2006 10:17 AM

I just returned from York with the following purchases:

Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Mr. Bungle - Self Titled
Exodus - Shovel Headed Kill Machine
Dream Theater - Awake
Iron Maiden - Brave New World
Megadeth - Rust in Peace

God bless York =D.

Happy birthday.

This reminded me of what Jom made me for my birthday:

Woah, they changed the order the forums are listed on the mian page. I dislike change.
oimg split teh r&M http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=11014338#post11014338
I pretty much agree with what you said. I don't see the point in splitting the community to serve as a convenience for a few people.

I think you were a little harsh there. But I don't think it should be split.

Terrible idea but people have tried it before and failed.

Josh 01-07-2006 12:23 PM

a demerge would be horrible. i do go in the rock threads every now and again, although i do spend a lot of time in metal threads.

Jev 01-07-2006 12:24 PM

Was it ever unmerged? I'm too newbie to know.

Jom 01-07-2006 12:34 PM

I can't even count the number of times since 2002 when people have asked rock and metal to be split up. I think I would need to use both hands to count, though.

Maybe even my toes

:-*

Josh 01-07-2006 12:47 PM

i can't even understand why people want the 2 genres separated, they're fine like this.

TheDMV 01-07-2006 01:06 PM

I'd hate a demerge. I hope to try and find more metal, and I love the community here. Also, no rock fan really cares about the # of threads.

GenuineImitation 01-07-2006 01:15 PM

The guy who suggested this barely posts in R&M, so I doubt any mod will listen to him. I think the only way R&M would be split is if we want it to be split, and that will never happen.

Eleventeen 01-07-2006 01:32 PM
I'd hate a demerge. I hope to try and find more metal, and I love the community here. Also, no rock fan really cares about the # of threads.
Same goes for the metalheads, it's just some idiot with no clue trying to toot his own horn, plus the proximity of so many metal threads integrated amongst the rock threads really does help for the more close minded... unfortunately I must say trendy rock listeners who have a horribly exaggerated and ignorant opinion about what metal is, and they get educated on both the genre they love and the genre they know nothing about but think they can bash :).

MBS 01-07-2006 01:53 PM
I'd hate a demerge. I hope to try and find more metal, and I love the community here. Also, no rock fan really cares about the # of threads.
I think the only CR reg who really supported the idea was Schyma. I'm fine with just the CR thread and the occasional modern rock thread that pops up. If I want to talk about modern rock, I'd just go into Alt/Indie.

Ruthless Reviews will never get old. I think it's the metal version of Something Awful.

superpeer 01-07-2006 02:37 PM

That's already old. Even if it is the second version.
