Hmmm man. OtMoP are just incredible. I can't think of any that are close, but I can think of bands you'd like if you dig them, like The Appleseed Cast.

Speaking of Amanda Woodward, I saw [I]La Decadence De La Decadence [/I]on vinyl at the record store the other day. I thought about buying it and decided against it.

That was a poor decision.

Heh. I'm not big on buying vinyls of bands I only mildly enjoy. And knowing the punk section at that record store, it'll be there for a long while.

I wish there was a punk section at my local record store. The store has rockabilly and country only. :(

That's the joy of the Bay Area. The same store that is in my own city sucks though, lots of crappy music, reflects the music taste of my city.

hahaha scenester is a cult! and Gav, if you dig OTMOP you might also like At The Drive, Sparta, or some midwest bands like Rockets and Blue Lights, Bells on Trike, Cap n' Jazz...etc, if you don't listen to those bands already, that is. Midwest emo has that clean guitar/singing/screamy kinda thing going, similar to OTMOP.

I haven't visited the record store here, i'm doubtful about finding anything.

i just finished one of my demo recordings, it came out alright i guess, i don't like the vocals but i can't sing well when i'm in a silent room

i'll try to get it on the computer in a lil bit

Hahaha, those kind of people work at the "other" record store around here, but they don't really carry any good music at all.

The record store around here is pretty decent. They have The Locust and such bands. Once I saw Neil Perry. I had no cash :(

Is it just you? My band played its first show on friday. It went really good. We made $538. We played 3 actual songs and a joke improv song. We recorded the show and put it up on myspace. We're gonna record in a studio next week.:chug:

yea it's all me untill i can find other people who have similar music tastes

wow fivehundred on your first show... wow i played shows all summer last year and didn't make a dollar :-/ pretty sweet deal getting the money for the studio

it took me forever to record the drums i kept messing up and then i got fed up and just stuck with the last take

i dropped my drumstick in the middle of it :(
