John Connelly [NA Vocalist] was in anthrax in the really early days, i know liker was in anthrax on bass but im not sure about guitar. Anyone know why Liker was kicked out/left? i heard he got kicked out because he was too tall lol

Triven 03-12-2005 11:14 AM

Sorry to advertise, but check out this link to a sweet forum:

It's just over 50 members right now, and almost all of them are from mx. So click on the link, have a look around, and hopefully register.

whatduffhuck7 03-12-2005 11:25 AM

that forum sucks, dont advertise, its against the rules, i hope you get banned for that
and why would you post that in here, there isnt anything to with thrash in that place

metal-militia 03-12-2005 12:16 PM
123 :)

Title track is great

"YOU WILL DIE!"
That song is so good! :thumb:

If Coroner reform and start touring again that would be amazing... maybe even a new album hopefully if this all goes right.

Whatduffhuck: Shut up, some of the regular posters in this thread, including me post on that forum. Dunno if it is agaisnt the rules, so it is his fault if he gets banned.

ForiegnPenguin 03-12-2005 03:31 PM

It says they kicked out Lilker for creative and personal reasons.

RCA 03-12-2005 07:50 PM

Dan Lilker also filed in on bass for Dark Angel when Mike Gonzales was arrested over in Europe.

ThrashMaster27 03-12-2005 09:45 PM

Most likely he was a Guitarist to start with. He's a very creative Bassist, whilst being Punky aswell. What did Mike Gonzales get arrested for then?

Vandalizing a police car.
Vandalizing a police car.

That's classic. Not a fan of the Police either, so it's a worth while cause in my eyes.

I was just playing Grand Theft Auto III today too, wrecked just about everything...

Crazy game, but it's a whole lot of hell and mayhemish destruction, not to mention fun.

I like that one better than Vice City or San Andreas.
Vice City isn't any good?
No, it's good, but I like GTA3 better.

SLATANIC-666 03-13-2005 04:56 AM

Yeah but Vice City had an awesome soundtrack to rampage to. Raining Blood, Madhouse, Peace Sells and some other great metal

Apocalyptic Raids 03-13-2005 05:09 AM

True, it had Priest and Maiden also \m/

NP: Toxic Trace - Kreator

Stoic 03-13-2005 05:34 AM

I listened to Agent Steel's unstoppable force (the song) and it was pretty fun! Any other Agent Steel song suggestions?

metal-militia 03-13-2005 05:55 AM

Vice is the best GTA, i prefer it over 3 and San Andreas. Plus you get to put your on music on when you get sick of Vrock :thumb:

Nothing beats running people down in a golf chart whilst being chased by the army and listening to Overkill.
What is everyones opinion on NA? I bought game over/the plague a week or so ago and it is very good, they are giging in june and im off to see them i just dont hear much about them on here much.
They're ok. I have Game Over and Survive.
It wasn't that horrible
It's an MX related forum, he will not be banned.
Crazy game, but it's a whole lot of hell and mayhemish destruction, not to mention fun.
All GTA games win. Beating/driving over hookers in it is the best fun i've had in my life :p

Plus, as you mentioned, Vice City has Slayer, Priest, Maiden, 'Deth, Anthrax, etc. They never seemed to play though, I only ever heard Maiden  (I don't own the game, just played it)
Not a fan of the Police either
 RESPEK

:p
Nothing beats running people down in a golf chart whilst being chased by the army and listening to Overkill.
Spoken like a true BROTHER OF METAL!!!!!! \m/
...well, except maybe running people down in a Vespa/and or Tank whilst being chased by the army and listening to Overkill.
I listened to Agent Steel's unstoppable force (the song) and it was pretty fun! Any other Agent Steel song suggestions?
YES! Get Skeptics Apocalypse now, it is SO FUCKING GREAT! AHHHH
NP: Agent Steel - Bleed for the Godz

RCA 03-13-2005 09:37 AM

You know what's even cooler? Playing Devil May Cry 3.

Slaying hordes of undead soldiers with a giant sword, all to the unholy soundtrack of Razor's "Violent Restitution".

NP: Angra - Temple of Shadows
NP: Running Wild - Blazon Stone
If there were a headbanging smiley, I'd be using it to salute you right now.

Saw Anvil last night, I tell you... even though they're as old as they are... they can still totally rock a place to the ground. Most fun I've had in a long time... and their drummer totally wrecks like...everyone.

NP: Razor - Executioner's Song

RCA 03-13-2005 10:15 AM

Man, I'd KILL to see Anvil play live. Glad you had a great time!

Corporal Compendia 03-13-2005 10:20 AM

They don't get out of Toronto or Canada too often? Where abouts do you live? Maybe they'll come there one day!

They played plenty of great old and new cuts.
Forged in Fire, Winged Assassins, March of the Crabs, 666, Metal on Metal, White Rhino(complete with amazing drum solo), and a bunch more.
The highlight was definitely when Lips came out into middle of the crowd to play March of the Crabs with his ear to ear smile.

I live in Mississippi. The promoters here suck, so there's little chance Anvil will come to play here.

NP: Exodus - Thrash Under Pressure

sensitiveorgan00 03-13-2005 10:51 AM

I had my first taste of Sauron (US) last night. Pretty good, although sounds a lot like Kreator.

They're blatant ripoffs of Endless Pain, but a good ripoff of Endless Pain still kills tons of other decent thrash becuase IT SOUNDS LIKE DAD-GONE EARLY FUCKING KREEEEEEAAAAAAAATOOOOOOORRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

NP: Sauron - Total Death (KREATOR cover)

I heard some Anvil a long time ago when I was just starting to get into metal. I can't remember what it was like, I guess I didn't really go crazy over it though or I would be into them now.

Schweet! I'm going to get that game next. XD I have been meaning to get it for years, but never got the chance to buy it for a good bargin. Now that it's older, it'll be easier to get for less than 30 bucks.

You know what really rocks? When you're listening to Pleasure to Kill. Here's what you can do if you're bored:

-Play Riot of Violence and put the Riot cheat on. Then start a huge *** riot and FIGHT TILL DEATH!

-Play Pleasure To Kill and start murdering everyone in sight. Rip them to shreds, chop their heads off, do whatever it takes.

I personally like the Riot of Violence idea. Gives a whole new meaning to the song :D
