Sup Commander is awesome. The sheer scale of the game is awesome. I'm only in the 4th mission of the first campaign. Don't even want to try online yet. When I have a lot of guys it slows down like crazy (my computer barely meets the requirements) but other then that its cool.

My brother downloaded TA a couple of days ago, last I heard he hasn't played it yet. Though I guess with SupCom out I wouldn't be playing that anyways if I had it.
awwww damn dude you gotta understand! TA was chris taylor's first RTS, and it's 10 years old now, and it's STILL ranked in the top 5 rts games of all time. Sup com is the "spiritual successor" if you will to TA (due to licensing issues).

I got a gig tonight...it's gonna be a challenge because we changed one of our songs last night and haven't had a lot of time to practice but i think we can pull it off...

Guitar = 7/4
Bass = 11/8
Drums = 9/8

Crazy.

I'm so glad i'm in this band...it's helping me to adapt to odd-time sigs so easily.

After doing some math...it goes like this...

Guitar = 4 bars of 7/4
Bass = 4 bars of 11/8 and one bar of 12/8
Drums = 5 bars of 9/8 and one bar of 11/8

wowzerz.

Drum Phil 02-24-2007 08:53 AM

Hey kids.

So your basically improvising that? Good luck.

haha surprisingly no...bassist is playing dotted eighths...

i'm keeping time on hats/ride with eights and playing dotted eighths in group of three (bass bass snare bass bass snare)

Guitarist is playing some random stuff. It's actually quite easy if you just sorta go off into your own world and just play.

PG mics are not good, and the XLR cabling may or may not be ok.

better than nothing, but you get what you pay for.

Quinto 02-24-2007 12:10 PM

it sounds like a pretty okay deal, look on ebay to see what each individual mic is selling for.

maniac0796 02-24-2007 12:43 PM

So you think it's better to get the higher stuff, like, SM57's and Beta's and what not?

fishbulb 02-24-2007 12:50 PM

Well obviously, but are you willing to spend that kind of money?

Chippy569 02-24-2007 01:03 PM

if $ = quality, then what kind of quality do you need? if you're just looking for a recording for shits and giggles (or just for practicing) buy a $5 PC mic and use that. If you want a demo, go to a studio. If you want to go crazy doing your own recordings, make sure you have a stable, well paying job first.
