That's the only one I've ever broken.
I've never broken my G string.

I don't think I've ever broken my 3 highest strings.

I've broken me E a dozen times though.

I've never worn one myself /lame :upset:

How do you break your low strings and not the high ones?

Pazz 02-19-2006 04:01 PM

I'm preparing for test I'm taking on Wednesday, and if I score good on it, it will be put on my record and possibly help me get into a good university. It's math test too.

Dead Star 02-19-2006 04:02 PM

I broke mine when I was trying to restring for the first time ever.

I failed.

Sophomore year I took the test that got me my full ride scholarship.

Good luck.

I hate women.

Fact.

Because when I'm using my high strings I tend to be more gentle. Since I generally pick faster on the high string than on the low strings, I slant the pick to lower resistance. Less stress on the strings, I spose.

I kill my low strings though. The constant chug of life :p

The 9's I've had on my guitar have laster for a long time, for some reason. I'm going to be replacing them with 11's, though.

I've never broken an acoustic string in my life, though.

It's my sophomore year(even though we don't call it that) too. I'm hoping to do really well, take the next one in grade 11 and in grade 12 and hopefully get a nice scholarship.

... :amaze:

I can be going nuts on my low E and I'm not afraid of breaking it...

Ew 11 is so huge. 10 ftw :p

Me neither.

My band's guitarist breaks literally one almost every practice though, I don't get it. He must buy crap strings. He doesn't know how to string either so I always have to do it :-x

I've broken strings during practice once or twice.

Took me five minutes to replace them and then I was fine.

All I had around was acoustic strings, though. Acoustic strings on electrics is really weird, but it sounds fine when it's distorted.

Acoustic strings have killer tension, no wonder you can't bend :-\

I'm assuming you mean steel not nylon though :p
And I've heard your girlfriend enjoys being a man when you're not around. Which is pretty much all the time.

I replaced them with regular strings when I got home....

I have no trouble at all with vibrato bending, but bending on key coupled with other things is difficult for me.

I need to realize that I can use two fingers to bend.

Just need practice, me does.

Vibrato isn't really bending...or it shouldn't be. You're just ever so slightly moving the string.

Why do you need to? I rarely use two, only for like 3 note bends.

Everyone does.

Not here. We have College and University. College is much cheaper, but not as good on a resume. I would love to go to University, but it can cost close to $20,000.

I either bend by moving my finger back and fourth really fast (horizontally) or by bending the string vertically.

E string bending is hard. I need to use two fingers for that 15-make-it-sound-like-17th fret bend in the A7X solo.

I have small/weak hands.

Both are correct, but I prefer vibrato like you use on violins, where you rotate your finger on the string horizontally, but it doesn't really move.

:-\ that's eaasy on any finger bar pinky.

Bending is better for quick vibrato (when you don't really need it :P), but violin method is better for sustained notes.

And I base this on absolutely nothing.
