Yeah, it's so lame at my school. If you take 3 or more APs, you only need to do 40 but if you're in the top 10, you need to do 90 hours.
...the only kids ALLOWED to take more than 2 APs are the kids in the top 10. I'm taking 4. Catch 22? You bet. -Gav |
I never bothered with AP. At my school it was the same material but more work and the kids used to pull all nighters just doing their homework. **** that, it's not worth the effort. Only high level class I took was French 4 Honors, since it was automatically honors.
|
Yeah, I'm one of those kids up at 3 am banging out my papers...and what's sad is that I start my papers early. They took THAT long.
My senior year in high school was intense. -Gav |
I see you Gav!
ROFL Windows 95 |
98...bitch.
My computer is ancient. Most rocks are more advanced. -Gav |
Haha!
|
Today in school we scheduled for next year. My school dropped all of our AP classes. NOw you can take these stupid classes at the community college around here for credits instead. I don't know why they dropped the AP classes though, that was stupid.
|
That was pretty stupid. I'm taking three AP classes next year.
|
What ones Neeshee?
Sophomore year I took AP European History. I got a 5 on that exam. Last year I took AP US History and got a 5 on that. This year, I took AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Calculus BC, and AP English. I took Calc yesterday and English today. I take Physics Monday and Chem Wednesday. -Gav |
I'm in AP European History right now, I love that class. I decided not to take the AP though, cause I'm lazy.
Next year I'm taking AP US History, AP English Language and Composition, and AP Chemistry. I'm also taking Trig/Pre-Cal, Spanish 4, and Intro to Philosophy (looking forward to this one). |
No AP's? That is pretty lame, I am scheduled to take AP US History next year and I plan on taking Calc AB and Psych as a senior. Gav your high school life sounds intense. My school has like 5 AP classes altogether but like a million honors and advanced honors classes. I got next year, besides APUSH, English 3 Honors, Pre-Cal Adv Honors, Physics 1 Adv Hon, Alg 2 Adv H, Foundations of Music, and French 2 Hon.
|
Ben, my high school life was wicked intense...
Apparently not intense enough to get into Yale. </3 -Gav |
Yale isn't punk, you're too punk for Yale.
|
Fuck them dude. Go to like Harvard and become GOD and be like "Hey Yale, you could of had me as an Alumnus, but nope I went to Cambridge and kicked ass."
|
...Harvard rejected me, too, Ben...
Way to put salt in the wound. Neeshee: It's true. I'm way too punx 4 Yale. \m/ -Gav |
Up the f'ucking punx
|
BEN I AM CRYING RIGHT NOW.
I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY BECAUSE I'M SURE NOT. <///////3 -Gav |
Gav, your college admissions aren't you, they're just another wall between you and punk.
|
Dude Gav, fuck the IVY LEAGUE in general. You will still become GOD!
|
Neeshee: 2punx4ivy
Ben: The Ivy League sucks. I'm gonna get a way better education at Holy Cross. One of the top 10 best undergrad chem departments in the nation...there's only 12 declared chem majors as of now, and that number usually halves. I'm double majoring: chemistry with a concentration on biochemistry and physics. Woo! :thumb: -Gav |
I heard Ivy League schools were just a huge corporation run by Aliens who brainwash you into taking steps toward controlling humanity, which is why we get so many Presidents from Harvard and Yale. Lawyers too.
|
Sort of...this is my take on Ivy League schools:
They're the most pretentious and haughty institutions on the planet. It's not about merit, it's who you know. They're extremely overrated and you can get a much better education at other non-Ivy League schools. In conclusion, the Ivy Leagues suck. SAN DIMAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RULES! -Gav |
Gav you are doing Chem? Tell me some colleges to look into with good chem/chem engineering programs that you saw when you were researching schools, please.
|
Good chem schools:
Harvard Yale Princeton Brown College of the Holy Cross (I'll be there! :D) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) University of Chicago Tufts California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech) Boston College (it's pretty good) Colgate Boston University California Polytechnic (Cal Polytech) There's a lot. Those are the schools I considered applying to for their amazing chem programs...I narrowed it down. I'm gonna go to Princeton for grad school to get my PhD in chem, since it's the best grad chem program in the world (literally). -Gav |
HalighEyesBright: **** dude
HalighEyesBright: ill have to suck dick to get into one of thsoe schools GavSavesTheDay: yep GavSavesTheDay: we all had to GavSavesTheDay: don't worry HalighEyesBright: i have like 3.4 unweighted, i go to public school, and live in the south GavSavesTheDay: basically GavSavesTheDay: yale was like GavSavesTheDay: suck my dick GavSavesTheDay: and i was like GavSavesTheDay: spit or swallow? Yeah, well ****. Do you know if University of California-Berkely has a good program?
|
I've never looked into it so I have no idea. :(
-Gav |
My chemistry teacher said Pitt is a pretty good school for chem. I wouldnt know though, i'm probably going to start to look at college options next year, when im a junior. And i'm sure as hell not going for chemistry, though.
|
Yeah, well ****. Do you know if University of California-Berkely has a good program?
Cal Tech and Cal Poly are great schools. University of Seattle is good, too. I think PDWAB (pop punk mod) goes there. -Gav |
Slang for Bay Area.
Word, according to my uncle he said when he went to the Bay Area a couple years ago the only nice city was Berkeley. He said he saw people shoot dope on the streets in San Fran, and Oakland was like ghetto. |
Oakland is the ghetto. :(

There is plenty of decent cities throughout the Bay. Yeah Oakland is full of crime and such, and SF has some bad parts. But there is good parts to the cities and if you like big cities, they are great. Berekely is nice if you don't plan on driving anywhere. If you go east or north of SF, you get more suburban and you get a nice mix of really rich areas (Lafyette, Danville, Moraga, Orinda, Napa), decent areas (Concord, Pleasant Hill) and lower poor areas (Richmond, Vallejo). It's really diverse, that's why I love it here. Crossing over a bridge takes you to a completely different area. |
Boston sucks...I hate Boston.
-Gav |
Move west, everybody's doing it.
|
Move to Ballston Spa we ahve the national bottle museum here it rules!!
|
That actually sounds somewhat interesting.
