...yes?
|
...yes?
what? |
What was the point of that post?
|
As Mustaine himself says, "I could only focus on one thing [after being kicked out of Metallica]: I wanted blood... theirs."
that was the point. duh |
"Duh." Okay. It was indeed a tad random, you must admit.
|
yeah, I know it was random
|
So we have dave vs metallica...

Dave is great Live.
|
Don't you mean "Dave is great, period"?
|
Of course.
I laughed at the Mustainisms for hours. |
Whilst somewhat on the subject of Megadeth vs Metallica, I got the latest issue of Total Guitar magazine today and it has an article on the whole 'Tallica vs 'Deth. Some of its not very thought out and I wonder how much of a 'Deth and 'tallica fan the writer was, for example, I've never heard of a Megadeth album called Countdown To Distinction...
|
So who "won"?
|
Yeah, and it still had those typos.
Ah full gay, I'll probably wait till they fix those errors before I buy it. |
I'm pretty sure Dave sets the times.
I like 'Deth's set, having never seen them before. It covers TSHF and most of the classics. Opeth better play the five song set at my show.
I saw them in San Bernidino (sp?) on Sunday and it blew my mind. Opeth did a great show; songs included Ghost of Perdition, The Leper Affinity, and Damnation. Oh and Akerfeldt mentioned having a love affair with Gene Hoglan. Strange. Arch Enemy didn't do too bad, however I sat through most of their set. They played a couple of my favs. which were: We Will Rise, and The Dead Bury Their Dead. Lamb of God did like a 1 to 1 and a half hour set. Songs included stuff off the new album (what band doesn't?) Laid to Rest, Now You've Got Something To Die For, part of Ashes of the Wake, Black Label, etc. A pretty damn good set IMO. Megadeth was the best damn band of the night. They played the same stuff that butcher posted, and the pyrotechnics were badass and f**king LOUD. Washington is next was a really good song. Dave is demonstrating that he can really sing, plus the dual lead guitar work of Dave and Glen is just sick. |

Random interview after sfsgsw.. http://youtube.com/watch?v=sKHuz6m7Fa0&mode=related&search=
He said something there about King Diamond's singer kicking the rest of the band members out and it being a stupid move.... Even though he did it numerous times. |
Dave is so awesome.
Very, very intelligent man, you see alot of metal musicians go on TV and look out of their depths when questions are being asked, but he knows how to deal with it. |
And, might I add, he was ****ing high
|
Found some video's from this years Gigantour

Nope, that's set the world afire...
|
**** I'm an idiot , well still no recording of it
|
I can gladly wait for the album :)
I'm still using The System Has Failed tbh, bloody good CD I haven't quite soaked it all up yet :D |
They better go to Canada. In their 80's form. When they were better.
|
I still think they're about that good, after a brief slip in the 90s
|
Hey there.
Yeh, Megadeth are cool. Good band, some great solos in there... Anyway, just like to tell you guys something. My name is Gur Samuel. Freaky or what? |
Tell me something, it's still "We the people", right?
|
Tell me something, it's still "We the people", right?
Ahaha, excellent :thumb: |
I've been a fan of Megadeth for a few years now, but more in the sense I had a dozen or so songs that i knew inside out, and then crapload others either by name or sound only.
So today I downloaded a few full albums and came to the conclusion Megadeth really really do pwn hard; they [well, dave mainly] are consistent and excellent players and writers, more so that I ever gave them credit for. |
What albums?
|
Well, all of them tbh.
|
I still haven't heard the albums in between Rust In Peace and The World Needs A Hero.
Rust In Peace is probably my favourite Metal album ever, though. |
You haven't heard Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia? I love those.
|
Yeah, RIP and those two are my favourite Megadeth albums.
|
:h5:
The same for me. :thumb: |
Mmm, favourite Megadeth albums ftw;
So Far, So Good... So What! owns all though :smash: |
Rust In Peace is superb, one of the best Metal albums of all time.
|
I'm not big on RIP. My favorites are PSBWB, Youthanasia, SFSGSW, and KIMB.
|
I'm big on everything Megadeth has done till Youthanasia.
|
Personally I love Youthanasia. I know most consider that their "sell-out" album, but despite its change to a more radio friendly style I think it was really well done. I never tire of listening to it.
|
It's a really great album. Lately, TSHF has grown on me a lot.
