So, I just listened to Cursive - The Ugly Organ for the first time and i'm not quite sure what I think yet, I really digged "The Recluse" though. Whats everyone's view on this band? How do you all rate their albums?

Kyle 05-19-2007 02:09 PM

Pretty much an awesome band.

The Ugly Organ is solid, Domestica, Happy Hollow, and The Storms of Early Summer are all great too.

Havn't listened to them properlly for ages.

niobium 05-19-2007 02:24 PM

I listened to Domestica and Happy Hallow, but The Ugly Organ was the only one I liked.

He's always been a fan. I've read in some interviews him talking of them, and he plays them on his radio show.

Robert Crumb 05-19-2007 08:10 PM

I'm glad we averted that crisis.

Anxious 05-19-2007 08:13 PM

I'm only here for clarification.

Went to an AFL game tonight. They won by 25 so whatever.

YDload 05-20-2007 12:57 AM

AFL looks like fun, too bad there's no teams nearby. Oh well I can wait for the Steelers to start up training camp in my hometown in a few months :)

The 49ers used to train in my hometown until the early 90's, when they moved to Santa Clara (which they may do with the whole team :()

Can somebody tell me about the song 'Tangerine' by the Flaming Lips? I can't find it on any album (I don't have them all) and I could have sworn there was a video for it but I can't find it on youtube or anything.

Maybe I have the name of the song wrong? Was it on a soundtrack? if not, where can I find it? Cheers.

Doctor D. 05-20-2007 12:13 PM

It's called "She Don't Use Jelly", on "Transmissions from the Satellite Heart "

Kyle 05-20-2007 12:19 PM

Ahh thanks so much dude :)

sweboy 05-20-2007 03:18 PM

If anyone's interested, here's a TV program about the San Francisco psych scene: http://svt.se/svt/play/video.jsp?a=830607

It's a Swedish program so the commentary is in Swedish and there's Swedish subtitles, but it's mostly interviews anyway. It features mastermind Ben Chasny, superstuds Ethan Miller and Noel von Harmonson from Comets on Fire, singer from Citay, plus authentic interview footage of Brightblack Morning Light really connecting with the earth in a redwood forest. Good stuff.

superjoe 05-20-2007 03:33 PM

Anyone dig Vetiver?

beso negro 05-20-2007 03:37 PM
