I gave my kit an overdue dusting today, and I have to say -

It's the best feeling when you're cleaning lots of dust from the shells, and the result is Clean, nice-looking drums.

styler 09-11-2005 11:00 AM

i should clean my drums, what did you use to dust them voodoo?

Epiphender 09-11-2005 12:54 PM

Haha yeah if somebody asked me out like that I'd start getting annoyed at all the damn notes. No way would I go for that. But whatever floats your boat.

rockindrummer 09-11-2005 01:03 PM

^ It worked so I guess go with what ever works right.

I had a girl ask me out in class the other day.. always odd coming from a girl *shrug*

I just thought I'd stimulate some fun with what I'm doing at the moment. Friend got a new 60 gig Ipod. 'Hey can you fill this up for me? Here's a list." "Sure. Be done by Wed."

1/2 full already in a day. Gotta love broadband.

Haha, she's a romantic, so she loved it. Plus she deserved the time and effort. Not only did she love it, the entire school did. Our English teacher was SO excited to be able to help. One of my friends actually made the T-shirt, and everyone else made srue she was in the dark.

Soft dusting cloth.

It's yellow. (Which actually makes NO difference to amount of dust reduction)

Win A Rabbit 09-11-2005 01:40 PM

i'm really bored, and i'm just waiting for one of my lady friends to get home from work and call me.

i just remembered i have homework for tomorrow that i got my friend to carry home, but i havent seen him since friday, and he's working until 6:30. oh well, looks like i'll be finishing it in my first class tomorrow. it's not even due for homework, there's just a chance we'll have a quiz on that stuff in class tomorrow, so it's recommended we do it.

i think i may go dust my drums off, since mine are to the point where i can write in the dust.

Sooo...Today was my first day at music school, where I got my scholarship. It was absolutely awesome. So much fun!

I'm a P3c, which is the highest class. I'm also in one of the two Jazz Ensembles, and im a percussionist in the Katabatic Winds Youth Orchestra.

Wicked.

rockindrummer 09-11-2005 02:02 PM

^ Sweet sounds awsome bb.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-11-2005 02:04 PM

I was flicking through the T.V channels a minute ago, and I saw an interview with Micheal Gambon (?).

He's grown lots of facial hair. And I mean lots, compared to his previous appearence.

Jezen 09-11-2005 02:43 PM

Yeah I think the joke was a reference to Gandalf the Grey.

Voodoo Rabbit 09-11-2005 02:46 PM

Sorry, I'm no good with internet jokes...

Win A Rabbit 09-11-2005 02:48 PM

i'm learning "dust in the wind" on guitar right now. i've been telling myself i'd learn it sooner or later, and since i have nothing to do, i thought now would be a good time.

Win A Rabbit 09-11-2005 06:39 PM

well to anyone interested... i told you all about how i was quitting my job at the golf course, and that i guaranteed i'd get asked back... (i guessed i'd get asked back near the start of next season) well it came true. my dad was offering me big raises ($12-14 an hour) to come back for another year, and i told him no. i gave him all my reasons for not going back, and then he told me to think about it, but i have, and i'm done there. i got treated like s'hit there, and i'm fed up with it. the environment there is terrible.

just thought i'd tell you that.

anyone here golf? i was thinking about doing some "golf lesson" threads in the sports section every once in a while if there's a large golf crowd.

poppinfresh 09-11-2005 06:46 PM

were getting payed 200 bucks to play jazz/blues at the roasted coffee bean. We play there every month starting whenever we feel hat were ready.

rockindrummer 09-11-2005 06:54 PM

^ That awsome poppin. 200 bucks is pretty good.

Way to be man, don't just bend to the will of money.

rockindrummer 09-11-2005 07:25 PM

^ $12-14 is really good though.

Fuzzy 09-11-2005 07:37 PM

So, should I sell my rare-esque Paiste Dimensions 18" Medium Ride? It's got the sound of a 20" or 21" ride, is compact, is out of production, and is in perfect-new condition. Sell or keep? I'm not using it.
