So...how do you make patches stop unraveling.
|
yeah it makes them a whole lot less ironic.
the shoes that is.
what did you think it meant? |

You can fold the border of the patch into the back of the patch and sew it shut, but that's a bugger of a job if you can't be arsed to sew by hand (which I rarely can be), so I don't do it unless I have access to a sewing machine. |
This doesn't STOP the patch unraveling, but it slows the process a little and is good if you can't be bothered to do anything with the edge of the patch before you sew it on: use blanket stitch. It looks quite nice too. Here's a 'how-to' to do it on crochet, do it exactly the same as here, just with a normal thread and passing through the fabric underneath (whatever you're sewing it to) as well

a little super glue?

A little link Jas forgot to post?

take a little bit of clear nail polish and put it on the sides of patches. It stops all the fraying. |
what did you think it meant?
i just thought it was peace. |
yeah, in the US it's the the stereotypic 60's hippie sign for peace.
|

It would if the hand were turned around the other way. But since the knuckles are facing us it's the U.K. sign for **** off. |
Can you believe we even have a sign for "hang your balls on barbed wire"? And a few variations on the middle-finger as well.
I keep meaning to do an Excentral Tempest stencil, I have a vague idea of what it'll look like, but I'm utterly bollocks at drawing. |

Yeah man, that's why I absolutely won't throw these away ever, despite my mom's constant complaining about them. I'll wear them until I cannot physically put my foot in them anymore, I love those damn things. I've found like one other pair online for about 80 dollars.

Underground make them..

YO SON.
I'm thinking about putting the Imperial sign from Star Wars. http://i500.nopdesign.com/skins/wallpaper/sw_imperial_logo.jpg Somewhere on this Grey hoodie I have. But I may pick up a black one and use white paint. And maybe write Imperial Scout on the back of it. Sounds pretty ace right? |
if your a star wars geek then yes, if not then GEEK.

Agreed, those are some of the ugliest shoes I've ever seen.
|
how do I go about putting studs in things?, belts, bags etc. I tried putting them in some pants but it didn't work out too well.

You can get a studding tool or you could just use a sharp object to poke a hole in the material first. |
And then you just push them in?

Man I love the mall, you can sit and wallow in how much society sucks. Plus they have cheap chinese food. |
I like the mall because of all the good stores they have. Excepting the overpriced music.
