Dude, it rocks, I have both in hardcopy form and I love them. Their artwork is sometimes atrocious though, but cool in its own cheesy way. :D

Nah, their artwork is perfectly reasonable when you listen to their music. I was going to order A Flame To... but it was out of stock. I'll be checking the used album store frequently though.

No, I mean there's a shot of a sunset that looks cool, but from a photography perspective is pretty amateur.

I wouldn't rely on AMG that much, especially for metal....

It's good for giving you information about certain artists, but it doesn't have a very reliable rating system, IMO at least.

However, AMG is one of the main places that has introduced me to a ton of bands. The others being MA and here....

It's a painting of the "Nighthawks At the Diner" album. I love the look. So a Tom Waits fan then eh? Good to hear. He's absolutely brilliant, and hands down without question my favorite musician, songwriter, lyric writer, etc, etc.

I know I've asked this before, but have you guys listened to [I]Manticora[/I]? Their new release, to be specific?

I really, really enjoy it. It's slightly darker Power Metal with a distinct progressive slant, yet it somehow manages to be a fun concept album about a twisted circus. I highly recommend it to you. Plus it's always nice to hear a Power Metal singer whose voice doesn't abuse his upper register.

I have a Manticora album here somewhere. I remember liking their style but found the vocalist rather annoying. Now that you said it I should check them out again, who knows they might have changed vocalist or he might have improved.

As far as I know they've always had the same vocalist. At times his voice is a little dull, at others it's a little forced, yet I still really, really enjoy it. [I]The Black Circus Part 1 - Letters[/I] is the album I have.

Listen to "Forever Carousel", it's what led me to check the album out.

Listening to it now. T'is pretty cool. I might have to check this album out.

I can see why the singer could have annoyed Stoic, though.

I just love the way the song sort of pauses, and then goes, FAAAASTEEEEEEEEEER! I think a lot of the issues with the album/group are a result of the production, it's a little flat.
