From the Destruction website:

"At the moment `Our boys` are recording the new album "Inventor of evil" together with Peter Tätgtren, V.O. Pulver and their Live engineer Franky Winkelmann.

Three different Studio´s in Germany, Switzerland and Sweden will be involved in the production-process!

The mix will be done by Mr. Tätgtren at the Abyss Studio´s in Sweden.

Release date for europe will be august 15th on the new label AFM records. In the rest of the world the new masterpiece will be released a little later this summer.

It looks like some surprise guest will be featured on the new album (like ex-guitarwizz Harry)

Nevertheless there will also be a new tune featuring many `well-known` Metalsingers from all exiting styles, for a song that is dealing with more unity and tolerance in the `szene`!

Rumours say that the famous `butcher` will have an impressive return on the frontcover!

Please stay tuned for more news soon...."

Lets hope this album is a solid, well worthy keeper >_<

Never got into Destruction that much myself. Only heard one song lol.

Anyone got Slayer's Still Reinging dvd? Is it good?

a8o 03-11-2005 01:17 AM

yeah ive got it. yet to watch it. my friend says its amazing, but i dont know. he loves slayer. dont we all.

Corporal Compendia 03-11-2005 03:28 AM

Woo! I FINALLY got the Slaughter - Strappado CD. The official one... not the bootleg with ****ty sound quality. Took me forever to get my hands on this.

'Make Way For The Incinerator!!!

INCINERATOR! Wood for a Feast!
INCINERATOR! When You Expect It Least!
INCINERATOR! Didn't Learn From The Past!
INCINERATOR! To Nuclear War We're Cast!!'

I Heart. :D

That Still Reigning DVD isn't bad... it's definitely worth the price anyways. Like, $8 or however much you see it for in stores.

LordDargon 03-11-2005 06:28 AM

Incinerator is a good song. :thumb: I have never heard any Running Wild though. What do they sound like (besides pirate music?)

Destruction, for me are a little like Voivod. Not in terms of playing, but the fact that it takes a while to get used to their style of play.

NP: Judas Priest - Deal With The Devil (Best song from Angel of Retribution)

NP: Testament- The ballad

ForiegnPenguin 03-11-2005 02:51 PM

The Still Reigning is better than the War at the Warfield DVD. Tom Araya sounds far better and Dave Lomardo is on drums.

When is the show in Still Reignning filmed?

RCA 03-11-2005 03:35 PM
It is great indeed but not the best song on the cd, In my opinion that would go to Battallions.
Oh definately, but I was stating the best cover song I've ever heard.
Incinerator is a good song. I have never heard any Running Wild though. What do they sound like (besides pirate music?)
Excellent heavy/speed metal. For a solid starting album, get "Black Hand Inn" or "Pile of Skulls".

Last August I believe.

In answer to someone elses question, it's awesome except for Kerry and his solos. He does an ok job on Criminally Insane, the solo where he overuses the whammy bar, but other than that his solos were poor. All the rest of the guys put on an excellent performance IMO :thumb:

Kerry King screws Slayer over yet again.

I'm still curious as to what their new album will sound like.

Kerry King really isn't that great, Jeff Hanneman is way better at lead guitar and he wrote a lot of the classics, such as Angel of Death and Raining Blood

TTTSNB 03-11-2005 06:03 PM

Possesed anyone? I've a couple songs by them, their great. What albums would you reccomend.

Seven Churches of course.

I just hope that Hanneman does most of of the writing for it. I hear it sounds like a mix between GHUA and Seasons but that's probably bs. As long as they tune back to 1/2 step down E and stop making songs for WWF I'll be happy :p

Title track is great

Yeah same, hopefully dave has a good influence on it, and that Jeff does some more song writing.

and that Kerry gets Slipknots coc.k out of his mouth

its the WWE but what ever, and i agree with hanneman should do most of the writing, hanneman dosent enjoy being famous as much as kerry, kerry gets out more, thats the only reason why everyone thinks he's better than hanneman. dont get me wrong he is still good, just not as good as jeff.

ThrashMaster27 03-11-2005 10:35 PM

Their tuning wasn't the problem. Exodus can still produce quality albums in a different tuning. Slayer are just out of ideas. All that aside, I didn't mind God Hates Us All. Wasn't very consistant, but good in parts.

whatduffhuck7 03-11-2005 10:36 PM

god hates us all is one of my favorites by slayer

ForiegnPenguin 03-12-2005 12:57 AM

motorhead was grea but the didnt play overkil and mainly played from inferno

If you ever need proof of this just go check out the Diary Q&A on the official site, Hanneman didn't even fill a page whereas King won't shut up. In places it's funny, even to the point where someone asks Kerry whether he's gay

DimebagDarrell 03-12-2005 07:22 AM

Nuclear Assault

What is everyones opinion on NA? I bought game over/the plague a week or so ago and it is very good, they are giging in june and im off to see them i just dont hear much about them on here much.

ThrashMaster27 03-12-2005 07:52 AM

Nuclear Assault! Great band mannnnnnnn. Dan Lilker rules.

I'm pissed. Can't be ****ed saying anything else.

 It wasn't that horrible. So it was sucky compared to all their old stuff, but yet it wasn't a great keeper I have to say. I downloaded a few tracks, heard a few samples, thought it had a nice groove, but I decided to think about it.

Although I definitely seem to be liking The Gathering a lot.

ForiegnPenguin 03-12-2005 10:23 AM

Nuclear Assualt is awesome. Is Dan Liliker the bassist for SOD and the first Anthrax album?

Bartender 03-12-2005 10:36 AM

Yes. I think I read somewhere that he also used to play guitar for Anthrax, before switching to bass, but I don't know if that's true.
