Nice. The closest music shop to me, Hooters, doesn't let you try out any of the drumming equipment just the guitars and stuff. =/

You have to take their word for it, but sales people aren't the most reliable truths. =/

Mannn audition coming up. I have no idea what to expect.. the school is very very expensive..its the school Stanton Moore went to, and Johnny Vidocovich teaches at.

So I am hoping for a scholarship.. A bit nervous because I am a taught marching/rudimentary player, but a self taught set player..I think I can hang in there though.

the audition is basically I have to demonstrate diff. styles on set, fast and medium swing, afro cuban and bossa nova then play a one minute solo..

I am also going to do some rudimentary snare, and maybe a mallet peice to "show my flexibility" as they put it in the letter.

Its crazy that I will probably be judged by Vidocovich. The man rocks, if you are unfamilar with him go check him out on drummer world.. He taught Stanton Moore, hopefully going there will give me just as good chops..
