winds of plague and miss may i on warped tour

saw this coming
I'd only want to see Winds of Plague, not a big fan of Miss May I.

MONSTERS released their new album today, if anyone is into them.

witchxrapist 01-11-2011 08:35 AM

winds of plague and monsters are both terrible

burtreynolds 01-11-2011 09:21 AM

yes they are. isnt monsters the band that was produced by frank from emmure,.....disaster

witchxrapist 01-11-2011 10:10 AM

hahaha, were they?

my band opened for them, they were seriously terrible

singer just kept going "allentown, punch somebody in the face!!!"

burtreynolds 01-11-2011 10:34 AM

yeah he has his own record label now haha

bunch of wiggers trying to do metal

witchxrapist 01-11-2011 10:47 AM

AND they think it's hardcore for some reason

Raandom 01-11-2011 06:33 PM

Not to start any pointless arguments, but why do I find a lot of people hating on Emmure?

witchxrapist 01-12-2011 02:33 AM

Generally it's because they're completely lazy and sloppy live, paired with how unimaginative and over-done the cliche of their music tends to be. Plus Frankie's lyrics and vocals are some of the funniest/worst ever.

Where in PA are you from?

2muchket! 01-12-2011 03:39 AM

Emmure are terrible that's why.

witchxrapist 01-12-2011 07:54 AM

And it's sad to say
That I
I STILL CRY
TO THAT BAYSIDE CD
EVERY DAY

JUST CHECK TRACKS 8 AND 9
Then call me back

Yeah, I can understand where you're coming from with that. I still like them either way, but your reasons are good.

I live on the western side, near Pittsburgh/Butler/Border of Ohio.
Emmure are terrible that's why.
Good reason. :thumb:

burtreynolds 01-12-2011 09:27 AM

they went from pretty good to okay to absolutely awful with their albums. when i heard felony, i could have sworn i was listening to korn

2muchket! 01-12-2011 12:18 PM

They're generic as fuck and all their songs sound the same.

Vocals are so lol too.

Then there's the ripping off of The Acacia Strain too.

xMalcolmXx 01-12-2011 12:19 PM

also theyre gay

alytee123 01-12-2011 12:43 PM

Mega gay.

Word man, I still kind of like Goodbye To The Gallows, but idk I can't listen to anything else, or even that often.
I live on the western side, near Pittsburgh/Butler/Border of Ohio.
Oh word, I'm on da east side right by the border of Jersey.

I listen to The Acacia Strain too, and I hear everbody say, " Emmure ripped them off. " I don't understand how though, can you get into details? I'm curious.
also theyre gay
Awesome.
Mega gay.
More awesome.

Yeah, to each their own. :)

Ah, everyone seems to live on the east side of PA. The west side is not fun, a lot of unemployment and places not hiring. My family and I plan on moving sometime in the Spring, not entirely sure where yet, but I'm hoping out of state.

witchxrapist 01-12-2011 07:29 PM

I love Pittsburgh, idk.

And Emmure ripped off The Acacia Strain in the sense that they try to sound like them a lot of the time.

And Rusted Over Wet Dreams...

The Acacia Strain sounds a lot more deep, vocally wise, than Emmure ever does/did.

witchxrapist 01-12-2011 08:37 PM

Well yeah, Frankie can't touch Vincent, that dude's vocals are immense.

HighandDriving 01-12-2011 09:34 PM

Hey Mappy, I know you will love this.

U swimming yet?

Ninja Sweater 01-12-2011 09:37 PM

Despised Icon.

Sucks that they broke up. I really like all their albums. Great band.

Yeah, Emmure's vocals sound almost nothing alike to The Acacia Strain's vocals. That's probably why I don't understand as to how Emmure ripped out TaS, and TaS is more actual deathcore than Emmure ever will be. All their songs are more ' metal ' than just fast paced vocals, and random breakdowns.

:thumb: Miss that band too. Great music they have.

witchxrapist 01-13-2011 08:16 AM

Despised Icon was an awesome band, way more talented than the majority of their peers.

if you listen to TAS older stuff and then emmures stuff, you will definitley hear a similiarity

witchxrapist 01-13-2011 08:51 AM

Emmure even said their first album was them trying to emulate TAS and FASSW.

i consider emmure to be way more deathcore than TAS tbh.

MalleusMaleficarum 01-13-2011 05:03 PM

because they suck more i get it

botb 01-13-2011 05:11 PM

no... because they have way more deathy parts and way less hardcore influence.

HighandDriving 01-13-2011 05:48 PM

Mappy did you see my post?

Stop ignoring me; embrace me.

alytee123 01-13-2011 06:01 PM

Been listening to Acacia Strain more recently as they're touring with Whitechapel over here soon. Never used to like TAS but it's growing a bit.

Raandom 01-13-2011 06:54 PM

Source? Not saying you're lying, just curious to read it.

I have all Emmure's stuff, and I can see where you're coming from. But from their most recent album, they don't sound like them.

It's a good band, glad you're into them. :thumb:

alytee123 01-13-2011 07:03 PM

I remember seeing an Emmure video where the vocalist was wearing a school uniform or something and pretending he was a boxer or some shit like that. Delivered hard on the laughs.

nevertoolate 01-13-2011 07:56 PM

Been digging this band a bit this week:

have you ever listened to 3750? seems like something you would def like a lot

alytee123 01-14-2011 03:13 PM

Listening to 3750 now. Haven't been listening long but the vocals are the best aspect of TAS. Just saying.

dong chavez 01-14-2011 03:26 PM

First two albums it's the music imo, especially on the first one, Vincent didn't really know what he was doing yet at that point.

Raandom 01-14-2011 06:55 PM

Even though I like the band, I would probably laugh too.

That and their lyrics.
