Just got tix for the Snowing farewell show. Fuck yeah.
hehe i know a buncha people going to that |
why does christsimpson post the most obnoxiously generic 15 year old lyrics and then post an obscure hardcore band right after all the time
its like he is trying to tell us something |

sosososo good. haven't listened to this in a while. back when As the Roots Undo came out and everyone was into that, I was busy listening to this on repeat. |
I can see why everyone else was listening to As The Roots Undo (it's actually interesting).
|

compared to this yeah def |
lol. people that only listen to this shit are so fucking lame.
|
There's people who exclusively listen to skram? That's terrible.
|
i meant whatever the fuck that youtube video was.
still get down with the emotional hardcore. that shit was just whiny bitchfest. |
Word yo.
I'm seeing We Were Skeletons on Dec. 4th at my favorite local venue, gonna be sweet. Probably gonna trade the dude running the show an old wrestling video game to get in. |
btw everyone, in 2006 indietrash was JUST getting into 'emoviolence' so lol at him trying to pretend he was ever not listening to ctts
also, ctts >>> everything in the video he posted |
yeah idk why alex gotta try so hard
god i love ctts god i love america |
lolwat CTtS are emo violence now? I don't mind their music much. it's just boring metalcore. I'd rather jam Hopesfall. my brother really likes CTtS, so he was jamming that when it was his "turn", and I put on Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson when it was my "turn", whenever we hanged.
then came Believes in Patterns and we agreed on a middle-ground. |
Yeah dude, we all get it, you don't like CTTS, Touche Amore, PBTT, and La Dispute because they're bands that get kids into emo and you got made fun of on here for being a try-hard when you were getting into emo.
Shut up about it already, those bands are good, unlike 75% of the "obscuremo" gabbage you post in reply. <generic lyrics> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaBk4hfwv40 Best spic band. |
most people I know got into screamo via Orchid, Pg. 99 & Saetia. and most people I know who are into THE WAVE aren't into screamo at all, but alternative and "melodic hardcore". so honestly, IDK what you are talking about at all. the reason I don't like those bands are because they are retards.
and people still make fun of me. I'm still a loser. that I don't like those bands doesn't really affect that in any way. furthermore, I got into emo via big and well known bands myself (Hüsker Dü -> Embrace & Rites of Spring on one hand). and I, unlike a lot of people I've seen comment on THE WAVE etc., don't mind it if people get into cool emo bands via THE WAVE. that's cool. more people to talk to. |
you're missing the point
|
most people I know got into screamo via Orchid, Pg. 99 & Saetia.
Those people are either old heads or liars. OR neither, but I'm jelly they lost their skramginity to Orchid and Pg. 99. :(
and most people I know who are into THE WAVE aren't into screamo at all, but alternative and "melodic hardcore".
Yeah but those bands (except La Dispute) are still screamo, regardless of some internet joke.
so honestly, IDK what you are talking about at all. the reason I don't like those bands are because they are retards.
Oh, so you've spoken to them?
and people still make fun of me. I'm still a loser. that I don't like those bands doesn't really affect that in any way.
Baby, I love you, I just think you try too hard. And this is pointless to explain, but got into screamo via Cold Like December and Hot Cross and then my friends were like you should check out Circle Takes The Square and then eventually my best friend was like I think you'd really like Orchid and Union Of Uranus. |
i remember in 05 when i started listening to hot cross, ctts, orchid, saetia and pg99 and my brain NOT BEING ABLE TO HANDLE IT
i think the first skramz album i downloaded was doc 8. the song titles got me mang |
Those people are either old heads or liars.
old? those people are my age or thereabouts. the people I know who are older than me (like one of my friends who plays in three currently active emo bands. Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson, hop sing! & Wits End) got into emo via Ebullition and Gravity and that jazz, and played with pg99, and put out splits with La Quiete and all those other "quintessential" bands that got me into "screamo". some of them actually were in those "quintessential" bands, like the birds are spies, they report to the trees and others. OR they just don't listen to emo at all... OR stuff like The Appleseed Cast and The Shyness Clinic. don't think I know anyone who got into emo at a point where these THE WAVE bands even existed.
Yeah but those bands (except La Dispute) are still screamo, regardless of some internet joke.
not really
Oh, so you've spoken to them?
have you spoken to adolf hitler no so how do you know he wasn't really a good guy. christ. edit: BTW pretty sure the first "screamo" band I really listened to was Swing Kids, who I got into because I bought the Antioch Arrow CD that 31G put out, and they sent me a sampler. |
i remember in 05 when i started listening to hot cross, ctts, orchid, saetia and pg99 and my brain NOT BEING ABLE TO HANDLE IT

nah he got me into some dc hardcore but i was 12 so i MEAN
|
not really
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6rGV5p8A2c If this isn't emo, then old Envy isn't emo.
have you spoken to adolf hitler no so how do you know he wasn't really a good guy. christ.
You're comparing the dudes in Touche Amore to Hitler. I know very cool people who are friends with the dudes in that band specifically, and all I've heard is great things. A band asking for guarantees on shows when they're touring doesn't make them bad people. |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIzg5aPBPrw
First part of this song could totally be in a Jerome's Dream song. |
i used to see the dudes in touche amore at shows here all the time. (they're from riverside i think)
they were really weird and i remember being really bored when ever i had to watch them open. not really into them, but i'm sure they are nice. |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6rGV5p8A2c

 that's pretty week, better stop listening to them.
|
i know right HEAVEN FORBID
|
BTW screamo is a very specific sound, there is no room for variation or innovation in the genre.
|
"screamo" doesn't exist outside of the Web AFAIK. we just call it emo. didn't you get the memo.
|
BTW screamo is a very specific sound, there is no room for variation or innovation in the genre.
troof |
emo was started in europe.
|
that Do Make Say Think record is really good or at least parts of it is
|
i hate that record now.
|
cool man.
I'm listening to 7a7p, Hopesfall and underOATH. |
7a7p <3
|
listening to "Reinventing Your Exit". I like this quite a lot. but it's really... weird listening to this, compared to the albums before this. it's fun, but it sounds like a completely different band. it sounds a lot like AVA at times, LOL.
