I mean it's a shame they didn't play any songs off Something Wild.
|
How was Roope's solo? Compared to Alexi, I mean.
|
the setlist was awesome... can't wait for my concert (6th january)! :D
i plan to take my mp3 player with me, to record the whole show and i will make some photos with my digicam and will public them on my homepage. will do the same on opeth concert (17.12.) and maybe on Dark Tranquillity concert (20.12.) - but DT is not sure :( but if i will be able to record the concert i will upload it for you :thumb: |
I mean it's a shame they didn't play any songs off Something Wild.
Yes. Yes it is. Alongside Follow the Reaper, Something Wild is my favorite.
How was Roope's solo? Compared to Alexi, I mean.
Not bad. Alexi's was a long battlte abck and forth between him and Janne and it was pretty hard to beat. Roope's seemed more like a filler so the band had time to get back on stage. It wasn't bad at all, but Alexi's was better. |
Ill nvr get to see them live :upset: its soo sad
why not? |
Try to. They're fucking amazing live. Whoever said that Alexi was sloppy at live shows must've been thinking of a different band.
On a completely unrelated note, this is funny. |
Yeah, I've heard Hatebreeder live, and his playing is actually better than on the record.
|
 My show was posted on Scythes of Bodom!

Outro (Fight For Your Right (To Party) by Beastie Boys)
Holy shit  |
They didn't actually play it. It was just background music played on the venue's sound system as the band left.
|
Oh, haha. It would be great to hear them cover it.
|
There were no covers played last night by any band. :( I was waiting for something funny, like when I saw Cephalic Carnage cover the King of the Hill theme song.
|
why not?
Eh i dont have the money, there not playing near here this yr., and i have no way to a concert if they was and i could get tickets lol like i said very sad |
Yeah, I've heard Hatebreeder live, and his playing is actually better than on the record.
AHH i really want to hear Hatebreeder live is it on Tokyo Warhearts? |
So, they didn't play Twist And Shout?

I tried recording at Audioslave and all you could hear was buzzing. It sounded fine when it was acoustic songs, but I doubt Bodom will play anything acoustic.. |
So, they didn't play Twist And Shout?
No. It was just background music provided by the venue. There's a good chance you won't even be able to get in with it. When I went last night, we had to go through metal detectors, and I doubt the security guys will take too kindly to any type of recording device. |
So you can't even bring cell phones?
It depends on the venue I guess. |
Cell phones were allowed. They were obviously looking for any kind of weapons, but if they see cameras and recording things they might not like it.
|
This may sound stupid....
I've heard pick pocketing is big biz at major concerts filled with lots of people tightly together? I'd think that could happen. Smart idea not to bring anything more than ID and cell phone, and have them in a pocket that zips up? |
AHH i really want to hear Hatebreeder live is it on Tokyo Warhearts?
Yes. |
Yes.
Yessss i so want that album now, Is it good? |
I don't have it.. but I;m sure it's good.
|
Yessss i so want that album now, Is it good?
Yes. |
if anyone has any kind of recording software (cool edit, audition, etc.) i'd be very happy if you could send me it

I wouldnt worry too much about pick pocketers. just keep your wallet in your front pocket and dont leave anything on the bar (if there is one).
Outro (Fight For Your Right (To Party) by Beastie Boys)
Holy shit
 Yeah, and everyone started singing along with it, but like Shadows_Fallen said, it was just background music. Anyway, about my show...Amon Amarth opened, and they were freaking awesome! The energy you heard in their music was incredible...it was the first time I'd ever seen a death metal band, and I loved it :D Trivium came on next, and they weren't bad. The guy I went with loved them though, he'd never heard them before and he really got into it...and he caught the lead guitarist's pick at the end. CoB stole the show though, they made the atmosphere seem like a party, but they still played really well. They had beers on the amps in random places that the band would take at random times during the show. At one point, Alexi and Janne started doing a keyboard/guitar duel, and Alexi stopped and started feeding Janne booze while Janne kept soloing. Then Alexi started again, with the guitar neck between Janne's legs. Jaska did a kickass drum solo, and Roope casually walked on the stage smoking, and shredding so fast you couldn't see his hands move. CoB's set was identical to the one Shadows_Fallen posted, which was great, but I was very disappointed that they didn't play Kissing the Shadows or Hatebreeder. My show was really intense, you couldn't breathe, and I got my nose ring ripped out and a silver chain that I thought was strong torn off. Keep anything you're worried about in coat check. |
I loved it when Alexi was giving Janne beer during the solo.
My favorite part was during Bodom After Midnight when Alexi would change the words and say "Detroit After Midnight". It was very memorable. He also said we kicked Canada's ass, and he wasn't bullshitting. I didn't really like Trivium though. Heafy was desperate to get the crowd into pits and said if we didn't get in, we were scared. I wanted to tell him to shut the fuck up and just play. |
