 I get to see Nadja after all!!!!!!!
Please have Aidan's babies for me, since I can't have them (yet).
Enjoy!
I'm so looking forward to seeing the in april.

I emailed Aidan to see if he could bring some merchandise to the festival, he answered me within a few hours.
Very nice guy. :)

The venue is so tiny, I am so excited. They just got a new sound system so I can imagine the immense sound they will make :)

gmoneyguy 03-07-2008 12:39 PM

You'll have the **** rattled out of you, literally.

Nostalgia 03-07-2008 01:08 PM

Yeah, drone-type bands are a bitch to see live. I saw some local stoner / drone band and it felt like my ears were leaking out a fluid because my whole body was rattling senseless

ATM 03-07-2008 02:30 PM

I look forward to it.

Kage 03-07-2008 02:31 PM

I'd wear earplugs.

ATM 03-07-2008 02:32 PM

Yeah, I have some yet I've never worn them to a show.

Kage 03-07-2008 02:35 PM

Lately I've been getting a little paranoid of tinnitus and shit. I really don't want to put up with constant ringing in my ears when I'm older.

ATM 03-07-2008 02:46 PM

Yeah my sister has it and it really sucks for her. She went to school to be an engineer but her ears are really too ****ed to do it now.

I heard them a while ago on that myspace, but I can't find any material floating around.

Reverend Bizarre rule, I just dl'ed the spil with Minotauri and they amazed me again with their groove and epic songwriting.

NP: Pentagram - Life Blood

Apocalyptic Raids 03-08-2008 06:04 AM

I have mild tinnitus, it sucks. It doesn't annoy me all the time, but when I go to bed at night I can hear it pretty clearly. I don't lose heaps of sleep or anything but I definitely prefer to have a fan going or some quiet music to take my focus off the ringing.

Nostalgia 03-08-2008 08:45 AM

Daft Punk'll do that to you.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-08-2008 08:46 AM

lol

Neoteric 03-08-2008 08:54 AM

i've nearly finished My Dying Bride's The Dreadful Hours

gonna put on The Angel and the Dark River soon

**** yeah

Iron Bars 03-08-2008 09:17 AM

I haven't heard The Dreadfull Hours but The Angel and the Dark River is an absolute doom classic (and the only My Dying Bride album I own).

NP: The Red Sparrows - A Message of Avarice........

Eliminator 03-08-2008 09:47 AM

lol my dying bride

Nostalgia 03-08-2008 09:49 AM

Trinity is bad, Like Gods of the Sun is bad, As the Flowers wither is bad, Turn Loose the Swans is good.

pate 03-08-2008 10:04 AM

Like Gods of the Sun is great.

Nostalgia 03-08-2008 10:08 AM

Yeah, you would say that.

Iron Bars 03-08-2008 10:22 AM

I like A Line Of Deathless Kingss too btw. I saw My Dying Bride a coulpe of years ago on Grasspop and walked away after hearing about half a song (5 minutes) because I thought it was boring. Since then I have embraced Doom metal and am still ashamed thinking back on that.

pate 03-08-2008 10:23 AM

I love A Line of Deathless Kings as well.

Shattered_Future 03-08-2008 11:12 AM

It's not bad (better than Songs Of Darkness, at least), but it's not great either.

I absolutely love The Dreadful Hours.

Eliminator 03-08-2008 11:15 AM

The Dreadful Hours' title accurately sums up a My Dying Bride listening experience

Shattered_Future 03-08-2008 11:16 AM

Is it because they don't have cracker harpist vocals?

publicastration 03-08-2008 12:06 PM

I like most of My Dying Bride's work tbh.

pate 03-08-2008 01:27 PM

I could do without The Dreadful Hours more than I could do without ALODK or LGOTS
