Rissa's freaking out on me on AIM because I don't like ska. :(

RissaPoodle07: But anyway, I can't dance to rap music. :-)
GavSavesTheDay: i can't dance
GavSavesTheDay: period
GavSavesTheDay: i can mosh
GavSavesTheDay: that's it
GavSavesTheDay: haha
RissaPoodle07: Oh pfft, I can hardcore with the rest of them. I can skank, which I'm fond of. But I can't two-step. :-(
GavSavesTheDay: two stepping's sooo easy
GavSavesTheDay: and crucial for moshing
GavSavesTheDay: i like skanking but i don't like ska
RissaPoodle07: It just doesn't happen for me.
GavSavesTheDay: so that doesn't work out well
RissaPoodle07: Who the hell doesn't like ska?
GavSavesTheDay: <-----
GavSavesTheDay: =/
GavSavesTheDay: i dunon why i just can't get into it
RissaPoodle07: That's like saying you don't like air.
GavSavesTheDay: the only ska band i sorta like is less than jake
GavSavesTheDay: the aquabats bore me
GavSavesTheDay: the bosstones are "meh"
GavSavesTheDay: RBF is OK i guess
RissaPoodle07: Shut your blashphming mouth.
GavSavesTheDay: big D's eh
RissaPoodle07: BIG D is EH!?!?
GavSavesTheDay: streetlight manifesto's not bad
RissaPoodle07: Just shut up.
GavSavesTheDay: i just cn't get into it o_O
GavSavesTheDay: i've met the guys from big D like twice
GavSavesTheDay: boston rep rep!
RissaPoodle07: The guys from Big D are the stuff.

-Gav
Most of those bands are borderline ska anyway.
Minor Threat > everything else.
Good band but too many people forget to mention the other great bands from DC like The Faith and Void. (The Faith had Ians brother Alec and Void were just totally insane).
Agnostic Front rules, though.
Very bad band. I blame them for the failure of hardcore.

I also just bough To High To Die by Meat Puppets for a cheap sum. Good days.
Showers before bed = no.
I don't think it's a bad thing after working out/going running/etc. because 1) you don't go to bed smelly as hell or wet from sweat, and 2) you feel refreshed and relaxed, so you'll be golden for falling asleep within the hour. It's not like you shower, dry off, and then plop in bed... that doesn't work so much.

postlapsaria 02-16-2006 10:53 PM

I always shower at night. It's not so bad.

Why can't I upload animations? I'm outraged!

billiejoe84 02-17-2006 09:21 AM

Mmmm, quiet day in the DT... 10 and a half hours with no posts.

Mute Print 02-17-2006 09:29 AM

Hello MX. How's it going?

I have the day off due to wind, and I have the whole next week off. :D

Agent_Orange 02-17-2006 09:30 AM

Whats up James? Been alright?

billiejoe84 02-17-2006 09:39 AM

Hey.

Yeah, I'm ok, thanks. Just went for a careers talk in town, and the lady I spoke to is going to put me forward for a job at Norwich Union in town. Thus, no more pub work for a pittance anymore.

How about you?

Kif 02-17-2006 10:00 AM

Today wasn't so bad. Media was ok since I blagged my way through a speech about a magazine we are creating in groups, and Music Tech was a piece of piss. I wrote a formal and very professional letter to my friend to ask if I could record his band, The Dolphin Slashers (It looks pretty funny), and my friend spent all lesson listening to The Prodigy and cutting out pictures to put in our Powerpoint presentation about record companies.

I also skipped last lesson since we don't do anything in it and it was the last day of term, and I am not getting on my school bus with hyperactive retards headbutting each other.

billiejoe84 02-17-2006 10:09 AM

You're only going onto half term now? All the kids round here go back on Monday.

Good work on the blagging though. I was the king of blagging at uni, to the point where I wrote 3 slides for an assessed Powerpoint presentation in about 5 minutes during the seminar I had to give it, and improvised the speech I gave over them, using blank sheets of paper to make it look like I was reading from notes.

And I got a 2.2 for my degree.... God knows how.

Kif 02-17-2006 10:25 AM

Blagging that class wasn't too hard though, the teacher wasn't as strict. But I'm not into the whole "giving speeches and presentations" thing, so I think I did alright.

Fenix*TX are touring Europe soon, which is the best news I have heard in a while.

Mute Print 02-17-2006 10:49 AM

Fenix TX was great when I saw them.

Due to wind? Wtf?

I'm reviewing commands for my test in 30 mins and then after I take that I have a laid back day, talking to Gaby about our future for a few hours, then band. Maybe laundry and food shopping in there too.

Mute Print 02-17-2006 11:03 AM
Due to wind? Wtf?
Yeah, we had like 60-70 MPH winds all night into this morning. Every school in the area was closed.

Kif 02-17-2006 11:04 AM

I would've tried to go anyway. It would have been fun

Mute Print 02-17-2006 11:06 AM

Hahaha.

In other news, I'm seeing Head Automatica tonight, and The Starting Line tomorrow. :D

Gnarmageddon 02-17-2006 11:08 AM

I hate you so much, Brian.

Give Daryl Palumbo a hug for me. I'm serious. Tell him that I want to have his children.

Mute Print 02-17-2006 11:10 AM

Hahaha, it's going to be amazing. Daryl Palumbo is a genius.

Luxorrr 02-17-2006 11:24 AM

Rarely.

PDWAB 02-17-2006 12:32 PM

So last night a friend of mine had to sit out of a concert because of her wrists, so I subbed for her and sight-read all of her music at the concert. It was a lot of fun, surprisingly. Also the fact that I rocked the house helps a little

Just got out of a midterm... ready to start this weekend and get some long overdue drinkin' and partyin' in!

ZaaR 02-17-2006 12:37 PM

US women just lost to Sweeden in the Semi-finals of hockey. What an upset.

Heh, I have 2 tests, a lab, 3 homeworks, and a project due next week.

I should really already be working :-\

Kif 02-17-2006 01:28 PM

I have next week off for the win

PDWAB 02-17-2006 01:34 PM

I wish I could have a quarter where all I do is play in ensembles and practice. That would be so sweet.

trumpeter 02-17-2006 01:35 PM
