Oh man, I definitely thought it would happen. |
I need one of those hyper crazy parties.
NOW. :( I'll go to Guanajuato next weekend to the annual "Festival Internacional Cervantino". Which is basically a bunch of hippies, artists and young people getting drunk. And me buying books. |
Hahaha that wasn't even a party that was just a typical weekend night for us.
|
I need loud sex in that case.

Most definitely. I think I'm starting to acquire a taste for beer, I was drinking a delicious hefeweizen last night. |
Most definitely.
I think I'm starting to acquire a taste for beer, I was drinking a delicious hefeweizen last night.
mmm... beer. Did you happen to have a lemon or orange wedge with that Hefe? That makes it taste so damn good. I drink a boatload of booze last night myself. 4 Icehouses, an unknown Hefe, 2 PBR's, a Black Tooth Grin, a Moose Drool, acouple more PBR's, a shot of Jager and a Bud Light. Down rocked and I had a blast. |
I didn't, it was really sweet and had a sort of honey flavor though it was neat.
But considering that i hate beer sort of liking one was a good step. omg there was so much beer there last night too...I've never seen so many kegs in my life. |
next time you drink a Hefe sqeez some lemon into it. Sounds like you just need to start developing your palate. Most people say they don't like beer and you ask 'em what they had and they say some cheap stuff, like Bud, Coors or other crappy American corporate, fizzy yellow ****. Try a Henry Weinhard's Summer Wheat, Killian's Irish Red, or a Blonde Ale, and after you start gettin' a little drunk, drink something a bit stronger and you'll kind of work your way into more powerful, fuller bodied better tasting brews. I, like most people, had cheap beer first and I didn't drink for several years. But then I started getting older and my friends gave me better quality, higher alcohol percentage beers and the drunker I got, the less I minded the taste of lesser brews, so now I can pretty much drink whatever and it mostly depends on the weather. There's only about 3 or four beers that I can think of that I absolutley will not drink.
|
I actually like american piss beer better than good beers right now...i don't like the heavier stuff. We'll see though.
|
I love beer.
Please feel free to discuss beer at anytime with me. |
mmmm angel food cake
|
Hefeweisen is nasty. Wheat beer in general doesn't taste good, although I have heard good things about blue moon.

Killians Irish Red is good stuff. |
Pumpkin Ale is ALWAYS nasty, no matter who makes it. Blue Moon is some pretty good beer, a orange wedge is a must with that one. Many Wheat beers are hit and miss. Wheat beer is kind of like "hippy beer," but some of them are decent. Most of the stuff that Pyramid makes is pretty good, especially their Hefe though. Permanent, next time you pick up a twelver of piss beer pick up a sixer of some microbrewery concotion, like a Hefe, Blonde or Red beer. Afetr two or three start drinking the micro stuff and thats how you start developing your palate. Remember to breathe the beer too and let that supplement the experience. Drink it, and pay attention to all of the facets of taste, from the initial taste to the after taste and the taste it leaves on your lips. OH! I almost forgot! Pour your micro brews in a glass. It helps the beer breathe better, and it's also easier to drink more of it at once, as opposed to straight from the bottle.
|
I haven't found a beer I liked yet.
|
Killian's is brewed by Coors but yea
|
Isn't wether a beer is good or not be up to personal taste? Killian's can taste good to him, but not you... reminds me of something else... oh yeah. Music. Same diffference, right? I also think that the beers ones palate is prone to enjoying has something to do with your ethnic descent. I'm of mostly German, and I love Jagermeister and strong ales. Mexicans tend to like Tequila and Corona, while English people tend to like dark beers and hard ciders, etc.
|
Isn't wether a beer is good or not be up to personal taste?
No. =( |
Well, I guess that settles it. You say it's terrible, therfore, it is. God has spoken, and He says, "Killian's sucks."
Killians taste is pretty decent, not the best, but far from the worst. It's not like were talking Steel Reserve, Keystone Ice or King Cobra here. As far as whether it's "terrible" or not, is up to the viewers, not just one person. |
BeerTV's most popular show, Beerkat Manor.
|
To be honest, I wouldn't know, I've never had it. I only drink Belgian beers, most others I have tried were so terrible that I've not felt the need to go back and try more, there are hundreds of different types of Belgian beer, so I don't need to waste my time with inferior creations!
Exceptions will be made for Guinness, when I happen to stumble into one of the Irish pubs downtown. |
The viewers comment was supposed to be applied as a statement, not taken exactly literally.
Basically, "to each his own." The only thing that can really technically make a beer better or worse than another is the processes used to brew it and quality of ingredients used. Unless you're a beer afficiando, you probably don't care what was used or how they did it. Most people just care if they like it and if it gets them drunk. Superpeer- YES! Them Belgians make same damn good brews. I absolutely love Chimay (I think thats Belgian). Living yeast kicks *** at inducing intoxication. |

Also, I think we can safely say that something called Kasteelbier (castle beer) or Duvel (dialect for devil), having respectively 11%and 8.5% alcohol is OBJECTIVELY better than something called Miller Lite or Bud Lite having, what, 3 or 4%? Despite of my never having tasted any American light beers, this is fact. |
[QUOTE=Splat Out Plath;15384358
Leinenkugel's is the only major north American brewery worth talking about.
I think we just agreed on something. Too bad it's hard to find out in the west. I've only ever had it when I visit my fam in Minnesota, which borders Wisconsin so yeh. |
Actually, I know one pub that imports budweiser, probably because they got the American bluesy thing going on, should I order one for lulz?
